Nine runners declared for  the G2 Acomb Stakes for two-year-old colts & geldings .

 

The Charlie Appleby trained Local Dynasty has been put in solid favourite at around 5-2 ,after winning in good style on debut at Newmarket earlier this month ,though that didn't look one the strongest maidens at track(second fav withdrawn at start) in what was quite slow time (4.66 slow) .Looks open to improvement ,though Odds around 2-1 look very short in this much stronger race. .

MILL STREAM was promising second last time at Newmarket in Novice Stakes, only beaten half lengh behind the unbeaten (103) rated Noble Style , that looked decent effort only worn down in closing stages by useful looking Godolphin colt .Had previously won 15 runner 6f maiden at Doncaster back in July.The step up to 7 furlongs should suit this Gleneagles colt .Looks to have the strongest form going int the race .Odds around 7-2 look very fair value .

The 550,000 guineas frankel colt Chaldean looks most interesting of the other runners, after winning good 7f maiden at Newbury last time ,that form has been boosted in no uncertain terms ,with second,third and fourth all winning races next time.Will need further improvement in this much better race,though has fair each-way claims .
