Meydan carnival week 4 ,with the two feature races the 9.5f (G2 Al Maktoum Challenge) on Dirt,9f (G2 Balachine stakes ) on turf ,though going concentrate on one main supporting races (G3 Firebreak stakes ) On Dirt at 3.45 UK time.

Going back to last week.Just the one bet at Meydan .Path Of Thunder in Zabeel Mile ,well supported in market 5-1 into 7-2 ,though was bit disaappointing dropping away tamely in closing stages, behind the impressive winner Real World .

Saying that no damage done, with money back on each-way bet,after finishing well beaten fourth .

Just the eight runners go top post for the group three Firebreak stakes on the dirt .Not the strongest renewal of  the race ,though still looks interesting contest .

Slightly surprising Prince Eiji has been put in favourite,having not won since his debut over three years ago . Finished promising short head second on firsr start for Doug Watson in 7f conditions race in December ,though makes no appeal for horse on 13 race losing run .

HYPOTHETICAL stands out on pick last seasons form at carnival ,including finishing second in this race last year .Also finished good second in G1 Al Maktoum Challenge and creditable fourth in Dubai World Cup behind Mystic Guide .Will need to bounce back after disappointing run on  his reappearance last time,though wasn't given hard race and should come on for first run of the season.Worth an each-way bet with the dead 8 runners .VALUE GUIDE PRICE 4-1 or ABOVE .

Of the others Tuz looks the most interesting ,having shown improved form since being gelded,including winning listed race over C&D at Meydan in December .Will need further improvement ,having been  beaten in group company twice last season ,though looks major player in this weaker race .
