Dubai World Cup Selections (Sat 27th March 2021 )

Dubai Gold Cup Sponsored By Al Tayer Motors (Group 2) (Turf) (3yo+) Winner £328,467 11 runners 2m Good RT/SK 12:50 UK Time .

race conditions  £547,445 guaranteed For  northern hemisphere 4yo+ and southern hemisphere 3yo+ Weight for age  4yo from 5yo+ 3lb Penalty value  1st  £328,467.15 2nd  £109,489.05 3rd  £54,744.53 4th  £27,372.26 5th  £16,423.36 6th  £10,948.91

SECRET ADVISOR made promising return last month ar Riyaadh in 1m 7f handicap ,finishing staying on third behind Gifts Of Gold .Should improve for that race, first run since November .Had some decent form last season ,winning twice here at Meydan over 1m 6f ,including in G3 company.Should also be suited stepping up to 2 miles for first time .Odds around 7-4 look fair value in not the strongest looking G2 contest

Mark Johnston trained Subjectivisit looks danger on his G1 Royal Oak victory at Longchamp in October , though all his best form has been on soft/ heavy ground ,previously could only manage 7th in St Leger at Doncaster on good ground .

Al Quoz Sprint Sponsored By Azizi Developments (Group 1) (Turf) (3yo+) Winner £437,956 13 runners 6f Good RT/SK

race conditions  £729,927 guaranteed For  northern hemisphere and southern hemisphere 3yo+ Weight for age  3yo from 4yo+ 13lb Penalty value  1st  £437,956.20 2nd  £145,985.40 3rd  £72,992.70 4th  £36,496.35 5th  £21,897.81 6th  £14,598.54

G1 winner Space Blues is 7lb clear on official ratings, winning his last five starts ,including winning the turf Sprint at Riyaad over 6.5 furlongs in Feb ,though there is slight question mark about this shorter trip .Yet to win over 6 furlongs .Clearly the one to beat on official ratings ,though odds around 6-4 look short .

At the prices C/D winner FINAL SONG looks the each-way value at around 9-1 ,has shown improved form since dropping back in trip ,including winning G3 Nad Al Sheeba Turf sprint last month .Looks open to further improvement over this 6 furlong trip  ,with Cristophe Soumillion looking interesting jockey booking .

The Japanese mare CHRONO GENESIS looks sure go well, having shown some useful form in Japan over past two seasons, including winning three grade one races ,also finished half-lengh third to Japanese Superstar Almond Eye at Toyko in November.Odds around 5-2 look solid value .

Mishriff looks possible danger after winning Saudi Cup in February ,though still has to prove himself over this longer trip and faces no easy task trying concede 4lb to Japanese mare .

A.P O,Briens only runner on card Mogul can't be ruled out after winning Hong Kong Vase in December at Sha Tin, though that wasn't the strongest group one.Had previously only finished fifth in Breeders cup turf  at Keenland .

Dubai World Cup Sponsored By Emirates Airline (Group 1) (Dirt) (3yo+) Winner £5,255,474 14 runners 1m2f Fast RT/SK

race conditions  £8,759,124 guaranteed For  northern hemisphere 4yo+ and southern hemisphere 3yo+ Penalty value  1st  £5,255,474.45 2nd  £1,751,824.82 3rd  £875,912.41 4th  £437,956.20 5th  £262,773.72 6th  £175,182.48

Not the strongest renawal of Dubai World Cup with no standout performer ,though the American 4-Y-0 colt MYSTIC GUIDE does look solid ,after winning grade 3 Razorback Handicap at Oaklawn by impressive 6L in February ,had previously beaten one of his main rivals Jesus Team in grade two Jim Dandy stakes at Saratoga in September .Odds around 9-4 look fair value .

Of the others Jesus Team is consistent sort ,twice finishing second to Knicks Go in Breeders Cup and  Pegasus World Cup ,though was comfortably held by Mystic Guide in Jim Dandy Stakes .

Military Law looks best of the home team ,after finishing creditable 6th in Saudi Cup last time ,was also good winner of G2 Al Maktoum challenge in January .Each-way claims .
