2K to 10k Betting Challenge (Bet No 7 ) Sat 22th March

The 2K to 10k Betting challenge continues on Saturday afternoon, with interesting (class 3) 1 mile handicap from Lingfield )

The betting bankroll stands at £2416 after the last bet Jungle Cat won the Nad Al Sheeba sprint in great style at Meydan (Breaking course record in process ) for nice £211.00 profit .

That keeps the good run going with three winners in a row .The stakes now increase to £96.00 .

8 Runners declared for (0-95) class three handicap on poly track at Lingfield. Not bad looking handicap for this grade. The three main contenders are Chevallier ,My Target & Poets Society .

CHEVALLIER : 6-Y-0 Bay Gelding ,winning 4 out 24 on All Weather.Goes particarly well at Lingfield, with all four career victories coming over C&D.Last victory coming in class two handicap at Lingfield in February. Also finished fair third over C&D at Lingfield last time, though no easy task off career high mark (96)

MY TARGET : 7-Y-0 Bay Gelding ,winning 7 out 25 on All Weather .Course specialist winning 6 times at Lingfield, including landing hatrick over C&D last season. Not been in same form this season ,though did finish creditable third over C&D at Lingfield last month .Starting to look well handicapped off mark 95 ,having won off 7lb higher mark last season.Looks interesting contender back at Lingfield .

POETS SOCIETY : 4-Y-0 Chestnut Gelding ,winning 4 out 13 on All Weather .Last victory coming in 7f handicap at Chelmsford in January .Also finished fair third at Chelmsford last time in class three handicap. Not badly handicapped off 87,also looks well drawn for front runner ,though has disappointed on both starts over C&D at Lingfield this season .Best form at Chelmsford.

VERDICT : Chevallier will have his supporters having landed two handicaps over C&D at Lingfield this season ,though has been soundly beaten off this mark on his last two starts .Can't be ruled out at his favourite track, though looks high in the weights.

Course specialist MY TARGET will need bounce back to form ,though has dropped to good looking mark (95) ,having won off (102)  last season .Also wasn't beaten that far last time ,when finishing staying on sixth of 11 (beaten under 3L) in the much stronger Lincoln trial at Wolverhampton.Should get the race run to suit ,with plenty pace in the race. Will also be suited returning to Lingfield in this easier grade .Odds around 7-2 look solid value .
