JBB RATINGS : (1) WOLF OF BADENOCH (108 ) (2) CHANCELLOR (104)

Only six runners go to post for G2 Chanpagne Stakes over 7 furlongs ,though still looks interesting two-year-old contest .

The John & Thady Gosden trained Kingman Colt Chancellor has been put in clear favourite at around 7-4 , after winning 2 out 3, including winning both starts here at Doncaster , though was beaten odds on favourite at Ascot in listed company back in July. Has to be respected from top connections, though will need further improvement to land this G2 contest .Odds around 7-4 look short enough having been beaten in listed company .

WOLF OF BADENOCH looks the one to beat , after finishing creditable second in G2 Vintage Stakes at Goodwood last time , that form looks decent with third horse Cool Hand Luke winning the Gimcrack Stakes at York next time . Was good winner over C/D at Doncaster on debut .Odds around 3-1 look very fair value .

JBB RATINGS : (1) ILLINOIS (122) (2) SUNWAY (121)

Disappointing turn out for St Leger with only 7 runners going to post ,with A.P O'Brien training three the runners .

Royal Ascot winner ILLINOIS has the most solid form, after finishing good second to Irish Derby winner Los Angeles in Great Voltiguer at York last time .Will be suited returning to this longer trip ,having won the Queens Vase over this distance .Odds 9-4 or bigger look solid value in one the weakest St Leger's in recent years .

Sunway looks best of the others, after finishing creditable second in Irish Derby and fourth in King George at Ascot , looks open to further improvement over this longer trip .Each-way claims .
