Algiers was very impressive winner of Al Maktoum Challenge R2 ,winning by 6 lenghs and landing big gamble 7-4 into 4-6 and looks live contender for Saudi Cup & Dubai World Cup in coming weeks .
Shelir was slightly disappointing fourth in Singspiel Stakes ,having been well supported in the market 12-1 into 7-1 ,seem to get too far behind off steady early pace,ran on well in closing stages to grab fourth spot ,though could never really land a blow.At least he landed the place part of the bet, for small £70/0.70 PTS profit .
Moving on to this weeks action ,going concentrate on the last race on the card the Buisness Bay Challenge listed race .

The Michael O Callahan trained seven-year-old gelding I AM SUPERMAN should go well dropping down to listed company.Made promising return last month when finishing creditable 4L third in group two Zabeel Mile ,behind the useful 117 rated Master Of the Seas .Had some useful form in Australia last season ,including finishing second in group one company .The return to 7 furlongs will suit, having shown all his best form over the trip .Odds around 10-3 look solid value .
Lands Of Legends looks the main danger ,finished creditable fourth in Zabeel Mile only half lengh behind I Am Superman last time ,not won since winning the G2 Al Fahidi Fort at Meydan over two years ago ,though has been highly tried over last two seasons in group one/two company .The drop in class will suit .Each-way claims .
Modern News will need to take big step forward after running poorly in Zabeel Mile last time when only sixth .Won in listed company at Windsor last season ,though has looked disappointing in recent starts ,including when beaten twice in listed company when short price favourite .
