 The Revenant is clearly the one to beat on last seasons form,including winning this race, and then winning the group one QE11 at Ascot on British Champions day .Slightly disappointing on both starts this season ,when only managing fourth in G2 contest at Saint-Cloud last time on good ground.Will be suited by easier ground,though Odds around 11-8 look very short returning from near five month break.

 

VICTOR LEDORUM looks interesting,after finishing good 1.5L third behind the useful Baaeed last time in G1 Prix Du Moulin over C/D at Longchamp,had some useful form last season ,including winning French 2000 Guineas and finishing third in French Derby.Odds 6-1 or above look solid each-way value .

 

Of the others Real World looks progressive sort ,winning last three starts ,including winning G3 contest at Ascot last time ,though this looks stronger race and is unproven on ground softer than good .

SAFFRON BEACH should go well here at decent odds ,after winning in good style in G3 Atalanta stakes at Sandown last time (form boosted with second & third winning next time ) Goes well here at Newmarket on Rowley Mile course (1122) ,including finishing creditable 2nd in 1000 guineas over C&D .Furher rain shouldn't be problem, having won on soft ground at Newmarket last season .Odds around 7-1 look good each-way value especially with Hills paying 5 places .

 

1000 Guineas winner Mother Earth looks big danger ,after getting no luck in running in G1 Matron Stakes at Leopardstown last time when badly hampered .Has been in good form all season ,looks sure run her race .

GLEN SHIEL goes particularly well here at Ascot ,including winning G1 Champion Sprint here last season ,has been bit disappointing since finishing second in Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot in June ,though will be suited dropping down to group three company for first time since winning Phoenix Sprint at Curragh in August 2020 .All his best form has been on soft surface ,further rain will suit .Odds 7-2 or above look solid value.

 

Of the others Great Ambassador should go well, after finishing creditable second in Ayr Gold cup under big weight last time ,has shown progressive form this season ,including winning listed race at York ,though will need career best to land this stronger group three contest .
