ARDHOOMEY : 7-Y-0 Bay Gelding ,winning 5 out 26 on turf .Very consistent last season ,including winning 5f listed race at Curragh first time out on heavy ground .Also finished creditable second in valuable premier 6.5f handicap at Curragh in July ,off mark 107 .Returns from nine month break and races under 3lb listed penalty ,though should go well if fully tuned-up.

PRIMO UOMO : 7-Y-0 Bay Gelding ,winning  4 out 17 on turf .Showed improved form last season ,including winning this race last year ,also finished third in the race in 2017 when held at Navan .Ran better than finishing position would suggest ,when finishing 9th of 15 in listed race at Navan in March, got badly checked and not given hard race when chance had gone .Should improve  for that race .Solid each-way claims .

INTENSE ROMANCE : 5-Y-0 Bay Mare ,winning 5 out 15 on turf .Had excellent season last year ,winning final three starts ,including winning two listed races at Ayr & Ascot .Looks very well suited to testing conditions,winning twice on heavy ground last season .Interesting contender ,though Michael Dodds stable has been very quiet recently (1 winner from 36 since Febuary)

VERDICT : Last years winner PRIMO UOMO should go well with run under his belt .Was impressive winner of this race last year at Navan ,when beating Gorane & Washington DC in good style .Ground conditions should be ideal .Odds around 5-1 look solid each-way value.

Ardhoomey looks the main danger,after winning listed race on seasonal reapperance last season,though has only won once in 14 starts since 2017.Odds around 5-2 look short enough under 3lb penalty .
