On Wednesday evening we are back at Kempton Park, for 12 furlong listed contest on the poly track at 6.40 .

10 runners declared for the £40,000 Wild Flower Listed Stakes over 1M 4F.This looks decent qualityAll Weather listed contest. The three standout contenders look to be Red Verdon , Daphne & Mountain Bell .

RED VERDON : Four-year-old chestnut colt, winning 3 out 16.Had some useful form in 2016 ,including finishing second in group one company .Not shown much on turf this season, though returned to form on All Weather, finishing close second over C&D in Floodlit Listed stakes at Kempton earlier this month.Top rated on official BHA ratings (107) .Solid Claims

DAPHNE : Four-year-old bay filly, winning 4 out 10.Shown progressive form this season winning two races, including winning the 1M 5F River Eden listed stakes at Lingfield in fast time.Has 12lb to find on official ratings, though looks open to plenty more improvement on All Weather.Each-way claims .

MOUNTAIN BELL : Four-year-old bay filly ,winning 2 out 6.Had some useful form last season ,including winning 12f listed race at Chester.Made promising reappearance in G3 St Simon Stakes in October, finishing staying on 4th of 11 behind Best Solution.Makes All weather debut ,though solid claims on her turf form .

VERDICT : RED VERDON should go well, after just getting touched off over C&D in Listed Floodlit stakes at Kempton earlier this month, that looked decent effort trying concede 10lb to the useful Mark Johnstone filly Titi Makfi.Odds around 10-3 look very fair value.

Mountain Bell has been lightly raced this season, though looks the main danger after making promising reappearance in G3 St Simon stakes in October.Looks interesting contender ,though is unproven on All Weather surfaces .
