On Monday evening we have decent looking sprint listed race, from Windsor Park .£37,000 guaranteed for the Leisure Stakes at 7.15 .
10 runners declared for quality looking 6 furlong listed contest ,on ground described as good .The three main contenders are Baccarat , Strath Burn & The Tin Man .
BACCARAT : Decent 7-Y-0 gelding ,winning 6 out 19 ,including winning Wokingham at Royal Ascot in 2014 .Returned after long lay off, to win valuable 6F handicap at Meydan in February off mark 104 .Also finished creditable 2ND in conditions race at Haydock last time .Each-way claims .
STRATH BURN : High class 4-Y-0 colt ,winning 2 out 10 .Showed some useful form last season ,including winning the G3 Hackwood stakes at Newbury in July ,though produced career best effort when finishing excellent 2ND in G1 Haydock Sprint Cup in September .Disappointed on final start last season in G1 British Champions Sprint at Ascot(Finished Lame).Obvious claims dropping down into listed company .
THE TIN MAN : Lightly raced 4-Y-0 gelding ,showed progressive form last season winning 3 out 6 ,including bolting up in class two 6F handicap at Ascot in September ,off mark 91 .Also finished excellent 4TH in G1 British Champions sprint on final start last season .Looks open to plenty improvement this season .
VERDICT : The Tin Man will have his supporters, after finishing excellent 4TH in G1 champions sprint at Ascot in October , though the James Fanshawe stable haven't been firing recently (1 out 19 this month) and has very poor record at Windsor 0 out 25 over last 5 seasons.Looks worth opposing, on seasonal reappearance, at around 9-4 mark .
STRATH BURN can be forgiven for poor run in British Champions Sprint, on his final start in 2015,when he finished the race lame .Looks the one beat, on pick last seasons form ,including finishing close 2ND in group one Sprint cup .Will be suited dropping down in class, and won't mind any rain .Odds around 7-2 look solid value .
