3.10 Lingfield 1M 4F (0-105) Class 2 Handicap (Sat 9th April )

Grand National Day at Aintree on Saturday,GOOD LUCK WITH ALL YOUR WAGERS ,though for the blogs best bet,we are off to Lingfield for good quality class 2 handicap on poly track at 3.10.

9 Runners declared for 1M 4F class two £19,000 guaranteed handicap at Lingfield .This looks decent (0-105 ) handicap ,the three main contenders are : Winterlude , Silver Quay & Dutch Uncle .

WINTERLUDE : Useful 6-Y-0 Gelding ,winning 4 out 10 on All Weather.Been in good form this winter ,winning two class 2 handicaps, including winning 12 furlong  handicap at Wolverhampton last month, off mark 96 .Bit disappointing last time at Lingfield behind Grendisar in Easter Classic ,though faced stiff task in top quality race .Should go well returning to handicap company .

SILVER QUAY : Dual C&D winner here at Lingfield ,winning two handicaps here this winter, including bolting up by 5 lenghs  in class 3 handicap last month ,off mark 85 .Finished creditable second in 1M 6F handicap last time at Wolverhampton ,off mark 91 .However looks harshly treated, up another 6LB for that second .Races off career high mark 97 .

DUTCH UNCLE :Lightly raced on All Weather ,winning 1 out 4 ,won 9.5 furlong maiden at Wolverhampton in 2015.Showed improved form last time ,finishing 4L second in 11F class two handicap at Kempton .Unproven over this 1M 4F trip , though looks on decent mark .

VERDICT : Dutch Uncle will be popular off bottom weight ,after finishing promising second last time at Kempton in this grade , though is unproven over this longer trip .Odds around 2-1 look short enough .

C&D winner WINTERLUDE has solid form in this grade ,having won four times in class two handicap company . Still looks fairly handicapped of mark 98 ,only 2LB higher for last win.Odds around 6-1 look decent each-way value .

(UNPLACED SP 9-2 LOSS £100.00)
