7.35 Naas 6F Fillies & Mares Listed Stakes (Wed 22nd July )

On Wednesday we go to Ireland for the days feature race. 6 furlong listed contest for fillies & Mares .

7.35 NAAS 6F (FILLIES & MARES) LISTED STAKES:
9 runners declared for 6 furlong listed contest, on ground described as good/firm .On official ratings the three main contenders are Minalisa , Newsletter & Stroll Patrol .

MINALISA : Useful mare winning five from 21 starts .Won this race last year, and finished close second the year before .Been below form in two starts this season ,though usually shows her best form around this time year .Will need bounce back, though has conditions to suit .

NEWSLETTER : Won two from 9 starts, both on soft ground.Won 6 furlong listed race at Nottingham in May .Finished creditable fifth in G3 Summer Stakes at York last time .Does handle quick ground ,though seems better suited by softer conditions .

STROLL PATROL : Showed some useful form last season for Philip Mcbride ,including finishing good third in 6 furlong G3 contest at Salisbury in September .Bounced back to form on Saturday for Johnny Murtagh, winning premier 6F handicap at Curragh. Not the most consistent sort ,though solid claims if reproducing that form,

VERDICT : MINALISA can bounce back to form, after two below par efforts this season, has plenty solid form in this grade, and goes well here at Naas.Seems show her best form in the middle summer .Looks the value each-way bet at around 5-1 mark .

Newsletter looks the main danger ,having shown solid form in group races ,the more rain the better for this filly .
