Tuesday 5th August Platinum Listed Stakes Bet

On Tuesday we have couple decent looking races at Cork ,with the 1 mile Platinum Listed stakes at 6.55 looking very  decent contest.

9 runners declared for good looking listed race at Cork ,on ground described as good/firm .The three main contenders on official ratings are Brendan Brackan ,Prince Of All & Flying Jib .

6.55 CORK 1 MILE PLATINUM LISTED STAKES :
BRENDAN BRACKAN : Won 4 from 14 on turf ,including winning 1 mile G3 contest at Curragh last September , been in fair form this season without winning ,finishing good second in G3 Ardglen Amethyst stakes at Leopardstown in May, and also fair third in Ballycorus Stakes last time at Leopardstown .Should go well dropping down in class .

PRINCE OF ALL : Lightly raced three year old colt ,winning two from 4 starts ,both wins coming on poly track at Dundalk ,including winning hot looking 7 furlong listed race in April ,beating the useful Due Diligence by 2.75 lenghs. No show in G1 St James Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot behind Kingman ,though far from disgraced beaten 6 lenghs .Will be suited returning to listed company .

FLYING JIB : Progressive three year old filly, Winning 3 from 5 starts ,including listed & group three contest .Won the G3 Canford Cliff Atashi Stakes at Curragh in May beating Peace Burg .Well beaten in G1 Belmont Oaks last time in America ,drop in class will suit ,though faces no easy task under 5LB group three penalty.

VERDICT : This looks high quality listed contest featuring three decent sorts .Brendan Brackan is solid performer in group company and has obvious claims dropping into listed company, though at around 2-1 looks short enough in the market.

The lightly raced PRINCE OF ALL can return to winning ways in Platinum listed stakes  , was impressive winner in this grade in Patton listed Stakes at Dundalk in April ,beating Magnolia Beach & Due Diligence, that looks strong form with Magnolia Beach & Due Diligence both franking the form next time .Odds around 3-1 look very fair value .

Flying Jib looks progressive filly and has to be respected after winning in group three company back in May ,though faces no easy task under group three penalty .
