Boxing Day Best Bets !!!

Busy day for racing up and down the country with 11 meetings. The highlight for Jump fans being King George at Kempton Park.

Just one flat card on boxing day at Wolverhampton with one claiming race over 7 furlongs at 2.25

2.25 WOLVERHAMPTON 7F CLAIMING STAKES CLASS 6
10 runners  for 7 furlong claiming stakes this looks wide open with plenty chances .The four main contenders look to be .One Way Or Another , Kingswinford , Bawaardi  & Stevie Gee .

One Way Or Another has been in good form this winter winning seller & claimer in November, finished good third last time off mark 77 carrying 10 stone in handicap over C&D at Wolverhampton .

Bawaardi won twice on turf back in April & May ,though hasn't shown great deal since .Not got the  greatest  record on All Weather with 1 win from 16 starts.

KINGSWINFORD won twice at Chester in the summer claimer and handicap ,finished fair third in claimer over C&D in October .Disappointed on his last two starts on turf .Well treated off 8 stone 5LB

Stevie Gee running consistently finished second on his last two starts in seller and claimer ,has bit to find with One Way Or Another on earlier form.

VERDICT : One Way Or Another should go well after running four solid races this winter ,winning twice ,this looks quite competitive claimer and odds around 11-4 look little too short ,though has to be respected.

KINGSWINFORD is 4LB clear on official handicap ratings and has excellent record in claiming races 313121 .Lightly raced on AW just had three starts and needs to bounce back after couple disappointing runs on turf in Oct/Nov.13-2 looks big price and looks worth taking A chance he can bounce back to form.

Bawaardi with Ryan Moore riding for Richard Fahey looks interesting jockey booking, though all his best form has been on turf and poor strike rate on All Weather

  1. Hi Jerry

    Good luck with Kingswinford.

I have a feeling that our old friend Stevie Gee could put in a decent performance today! I wonder if he will be a big drifter in the next few minutes before the off!
