The 2026 BetMGM Tandridge Stakes (Listed) will take place at Southwell on February 7, 2026, shifting from its traditional home at Lingfield. The race is for 4-year-olds and older, run over 1 mile and 13 yards on the Tapeta all-weather surface. The race offers £60,000 in prize money.

The John/Thady Gosden trained CHANCELLOR just tops the ratings after finishing close second in Hyde Stakes at Kempton in December, behind Hollaway Boy in fair listed contest, had previously won 7f class two handicap at Kempton in November off mark 99, lightly raced on All Weather, though looks open to further improvement over mile. Obvious claims on form .However  bookmakers are taking no chances at top price 4-6 .

Last years winner TYRRHENIAN SEA  has decent record on All Weather, only finishing outside top three twice in 15 starts , including winning five times .Been in fair form this season, including finishing short head second in listed Quebec Stakes at Lingfield in December. Will need to reverse Hyde Stakes form with Chancellor, though looked in need of the race that day, on seasonal reappearance , finishing staying on third .The drop back to mile on tapeta should suit. 4-1 or above look fair value against this very short price favourite .

Of the others WITCH HUNTER , looks best of the rest, after winning class two handicap at Newcastle last month off mark 101 , has bit to find with Chancellor on previous Kempton form, though meets that rival on 3lb better terms for 1.75L beating .Should be in the mix .
