 This looks decent contest for fillies & mares over 12 furlongs , with the Aidan O' Brien trained Irish Oaks winner Savethelastdance  looking very weak favourite at around 4-1 with all her winning form coming on soft or heavy surface .This quick ground has to be major concern .

 

The John & Thady Gosden trained 5-Y-0 mare FREE WIND will need to bounce back after two below par efforts, though can be forgiven for disappointing run last time in horrendous conditions at Glorious Goodwood when odds on favourite .Had previously won the G2 Middleton Stakes on her reappearance at York in race that has worked out well . This fast ground is slight concern, after only finishing fifth in Hardwick Stakes at Royal Ascot on similar ground in June ,though did win G2 Park Hill stakes impressively on Good/firm back in 2021 .Odds around 5-1 look solid each-way fair value .

 

Of the others Blue Stocking makes most appeal after finishing creditable second in Irish Oaks behind Savethelastdance ,having looked all over the winner turning for home ,just getting outstayed near the line .Shouldn't have problem with this quicker ground ,having finished good third in Ribblesdale stakes on similar ground at Royal Ascot ,when unlucky in running .

 Wide open listed contest for Fillies & Mares over 12 furlongs ,with bookmakers going 5-1 the field .Modarra & Sea Theme have been put in joint favourites,though both have plenty to prove .

 

Modarra takes drop in class after finishing last of 5 in G3 Pinnacle Stakes at Haydock in June & Sea Theme takes step up in class ,after winning 12f Novice stakes at Doncaster on soft ground , both look open to improvement ,though look short enough in the market .

At the prices the John & Thady Gosden trained ONE EVENING looks interesting back on this quicker ground ,finishing good second behind Voodoo Queen (stayed on nicely in closing stages) after stumbling at the start in listed contest at Pontefract in June .That form looks solid with the third Ching Shih ,finishing creditable 2nd to Arrest in G3 Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury on Saturday .Odds around 8-1 look very fair each-way value ,with Ryan Moore taking the ride .
