Five time group/grade one winner MODERN GAMES looks the one to beat ,after winning the Lockinge in good style last month at Newbury ,coming with strong run in closing stages to beat Chindit comfortbly.Had some decent form last season ,winning the French 2000 Guineas & Breeders Cup Mile ,also finished good second in the Sussex stakes behind Baaeed .Will be suited by fast ground .Odds around 9-4 look solid value '

The John & Thady trained filly Inspiral looks main danger on pick last years form ,including winning the Coronation Stakes in impressive style at Royal meeting last season.Goes well fresh ,winning first time out the last two seasons , though can throw in odd bad race ,including when turned over at 1-7 in Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket and disappointing in Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot when short price favourite .

Of the others Chindit could go well at decent odds .Finished creditable second in Lockinge stakes last time ,also won Paradise Listed Stakes over C&D at Ascot in May.Place claims .

This looks competitive listed contest, with the Royal runner Saga  for Frankie Dettori been put in clear favourite at around 4-1,though that looks poor value for horse who struggles to get his head in front (1 out 10) only victory coming in 7f maiden back in 2021.Ran well here last year ,when close second in the Britainia Stakes ,though not for me at what looks very skinny price .

 

Stable companion FRANCESCO CLEMENTE  looks interesting contender after finishing close second in Festival Listed Stakes at Goodwood last month ,that was promising run on his first start for over 10 months .Had looked progessive sort last season winning 3 out 3 ,including bolting up by 9L in class two handicap at Newmarket off mark 99 .Should come on for that first run of the season, and looks open to plenty more improvement .Odds around 11-2 look fair each-way value with bookmakers paying 4 places .

 

Of the others Irish raider Buckaroo should go well after finishing close fourth in group one company in France last time behind Anmaat .Has good record in listed company 2 out 2 ,though his best form has been on easier ground .

Cadillac has possibilities at decent odds for George Boughey stable ,after winning class two handicap at Epsom last time in good style .Also finished good second in this race last year when chasing home Dubai Future .
