9 runners declared for (0-105) 1M 2F handicap at Lingfield .The three main contenders look to be Franklin D ,Aleator & Freud .

3.10 LINGFIELD 1M 2F CORAL HANDICAP
FRANKLIN D : Won 1 out 2 on All Weather ,including winning class 3 (0-95) handicap over C&D at Lingfield last time  .Lightly raced on the All Weather and looks open to plenty improvement .Looks fairly treated off mark 93 .

ALEATOR :Won 2 out 7 on All Weather, including winning class 3 (0-90 ) handicap over C&D at Lingfield last time.Seem to show improved form in first time blinkers. Not badly treated off 2LB higher mark ,and looks well drawn for horse that races on the pace.

FREUD : Improving sort ,winning last two starts ,including winning class 4 handicap at Chelmsford last time .Up 3LB in the weights and takes step up in class ,though still looks on fair mark ,with claimer Callum Shepherd taking off handy 5 pounds .

VERDICT : Franklin D won with bit in hand last time ,when winning over C&D in class 3 handicap , though that didn't look the strongest class 3 contest .Off 4LB higher mark In better race, odds around 2-1 look no value  .

ALEATOR showed improved form last time, when winning class 3 handicap over C&D .Different tactics were used when making all in first time blinkers .With not much pace in the race ,could again take some catching from decent draw in stall 2 .Odds around 11-2 look solid each-way value .

Freud is improving sort ,and has each-way claims after winning his last two starts at Chelmsford, still looks on fair mark ,though has to prove himself in much stronger race .

The Blog Returns For 2016

The blog returns for 7th consecutive year, with profits now totaling £9611.In 2015 progress was slow, having struggled in the first 6 months of the year ,though still ended up profitable year, with £797 profit in 2015 .

8 Runners declared for 5 furlong (0-75) sprint handicap on the poly track at Chelmsford. Not bad contest for this grade, with the three main contenders Powerful Wind , Borough Boy & Pickansort .

POWERFUL WIND : Fair record on turf ,winning 7 out 33 ,though not as good on All Weather with only 2 wins from 23 .Been in fair form recently at Southwell, finishing placed on last two starts in handicap company .Looks fairly handicapped off mark 75 , though stable struggling for winners (1 out 43 in last 6 months) .

BOROUGH BOY : Dual C&D winner at Chelmsford ,including winning twice here in 2015 .Has fair record on All Weather winning 5 out 33 .Also Been in fair form recently ,finishing good 2ND behind the progressive Crosse Fire last time at Southwell ,that form has been franked with Crosse Fire bolting up next time .Should go well returning to his favourite track .

PICKANSORT :Consistent sort on All Weather ,winning 8 out 55 ,though seems to go particularly well at Lingfield winning there 6 times .Also finished fair second at Linfield last time in handicap company .Looks fairly treated at weights ,has won off higher marks in the past ,though did disappoint on his only start at Chelmsford .

VERDICT : BOROUGH BOY goes well here at Chelmsford ,winning 2 out 3 (211) ,including dead heating in stronger (class 4) race here in August, off 1LB lower mark .Also finished creditable 2ND last time behind Subsequent winner Crosse Fire at Southwell .Looks solid bet at odds around 3-1 .

Powerful Wind looks the main danger, after finishing just behind Borough Boy last time at Southwell ,though has always looked much better performer on the turf ,also trainer Charlie Wallis has only had 1 winner in last 6 months .
