Monday best bets

Bank holiday Monday plenty of racing with five flat cards,as usual with bank holiday racing mostly low quality though few interesting races and three small bets.

LAHEEB :Highly progressive 3-y-o last season winning 4 races from 6 starts ,including  listed race at Newmarket last October beating Prince Siegfried by 1 lengh, fair third on his reappearance in G3 Gordon Richard stakes at Sandown last month and should improve for that run, drops back into listed company.M.Jarvis stable in red hot form.

TIMOCRACY: Winner of last two races in sellers at Lingfield & Brighton  for his new trainer A.HAYNES,has plenty in hand on H,CAP ratings 6LB+ and should take all beating in this weak seller.

LATHAAT: Promising third last time in 7f maiden at Goodwood  finishing strongly after getting outpaced at halfway behind Water Baby ,looks sure to improve for step up to 1 mile.

summary of the weeks bets!!

4 pt profit on Saturday one winner from three bets, and good to see Main Aim win another group race, though disappointing Red Jazz could only manage second place at Newmarket beaten by 33-1 outsider, Field of dream.Really thought Red Jazz was banker at Newmarket though with all the rain that fell ,I think that may be the reason he got turned over no form on softish ground.

How they were calling it good ground at Newmarket ill never know nearly every race the time was at least 4 seconds slower than standard.

Just the one flat card on Sunday at Newmarket and no interest there ,NO BETS ON SUNDAY.

Fridays best bets

Not much luck on Thursday ,three thirds from four bets though not to disappointed all four bets ran ok without winning ,with two each/way bets placed ended up loss 4.75 pts

The only real disappointment was Glass Harmonium who I thought was given poor ride by Ryan Moore who was never put in the race until it was far to late and did well to get third in the end.

On to Friday plenty of racing with five flat cards though just going stick with the one bet at Pontefract.

KIELDER-Eye catching debut last time at Ripon over 6f after being slowly away finished really stongly to get second behind the B.Hills trained Bonheurs Art ,Form looks solid with third placed Whitechapel winning handicap last week at Haydock  ,looks open to plenty of improvement

Tuesday best bets

Fantastic day on Monday 4 out 4  and 20.40pt profit the accumulator paid 211-1 taking the early prices with bet365.

Its strange how things change in this game the last two weeks have been real struggle with just two winners  from last 15 bets ,then yesterday four winners in row just amazing.Poor racing on Tuesday with just the three flat cards and No Bets.

Monday's best bets

Four flat cards and quite good quality for Monday with the evening meeting at Windsor looking best card. Busy start to week with four bets.

ROYAL DIGNITARY:Excellent record in claimers 6 from 14 ,winner of last three races on AW ,though equally as effective on turf and looks well treated at weights in this claimer.

DANGER:MOODY TUNES.

BAY WINDOW :Consisdent type placed on last two starts in maidens at Chepstow & Newbury ,looking slightly one paced over 1mile 2 step up 1mile 4 likely to suit better.

DANGER:MAGNETIC FORCE.

SCARLET ROCKS:Very consisdent 2-y-o never been out first two in six starts finishing second five times ,showing her best form last time finishing 1 lengh second behind the highly regarded R.Hannon trained
Cape to Rio over C/D in class 2 conditions race ,takes big drop in class here into class 5 novice stakes.

DANGER:TAKEAWAY

Sundays best bets

Small 2.5 pt profit on Saturday after Trip the light won the claimer at 6-4,Borderlescott ran fair race in third in Temple stakes behind Kinsgate Native, though Aajel was bitter disappointment backed from 9-2 in morning into 9-4 finished tailed off 6th  behind the impressive 14 lengh winner Tactic.Just nice to have winning day  after the poor run of results over last 2 weeks.

On to Sunday and two top class cards at Curragh the feature race being Irish 1000 gns and at Lonchamp in France they stage two group one races.Going concentrate on just the one race at Longchamp.

STACELITA : Very smart filly winner of 6 out 7 races three group one races and far from disgraced finishing 7th of 19 behind Sea the Stars in  Arc de Triomphe ,goes well fresh winning first time out the last two seasons and trainer JC Rouget in good form 4 winners from last 14 runners. On form Goldikova will take lot beating though was well beaten in this race last year and always seems to come on lot for her first run and her trainer F.Head has yet to train winner this season. At the prices STACELITA looks solid E-W bet  Against the odds on favourite Goldikova.

TRIP THE LIGHT-takes big drop in class after running in listed handicap last time, winner of four handicaps last season including over C/D .Posted career best effort at Catterick in April winning  class 3 handicap of mark 87.Should take plenty beating in this claimer.

DANGER:MULL OF DUBAI

BORDERLESCOTT-Top class sprinter winning twice last season including G1 Nunthorpe at York for second time, good record at Haydock finishing runner up in this race last two years.Fair second on  reappearance at Newmarket in Palace house stakes and will improve for that run.

DANGER:EQUIANO

AAJEL-Lightly raced 5-y-o only had seven starts winning three times.Excellent second on reappearance at Ascot in Sagaro stakes G3 only beaten 1/2 lengh  .Front runner will be suited by the track and looks open to plenty of improvement.

DANGER MUNSEF.

IRISH 2OOO GUINEAS :Looks interesting race though decided not to get involved in the end.Really wanted take on Canford Cliffs who will struggle to see out this stiff mile at Curragh, and looks poor value favourite at around 3-1.A.O'BRIEN runs six in the race  though his stable struggling for winners.STEINBECK & FENCING MASTER look his main two challengers. At the prices EXTENSION looked the E-W value at around 13-2 ,only has one Lengh to find With Canford Cliffs on Newmarket 2000 gns form and looks the much stronger stayer.

Wednesday best bets

The last twelve days have been real struggle, just checking though the bets only one winner from 13 bets, and loss of 28.70 Pts, that's 62 % of my overall profit gone in just twelve days, that's reminder how quickly you can lose all your profits in this game.

Yesterdays bet Rowan Lodge though very well backed 9-2 into10-3,  never really threatened, held up in slowly run race and could only finish disappointing 4th.

Wednesday just the two cards on the flat ,with Goodwood the main meeting and they stage two interesting listed races.Godolphin run there Oaks contender WEDDING MARCH in 2.35 ,and on form should really win this listed race after running 4th in last seasons group one Marcel Boussac.though with the stable out of form  only 3 winners from 26 this season.Just can't consider as bet

Decided after such bad run to take short break  and come back Saturday.

Tuesday's best bets

SILVER WIND could only manage second beaten neck at Windsor after quite big gamble took place 9-4 into evens.Slightly annoying to be beaten by stable mate Timeteam though no real damage done with just 1.10 pt loss.

Tuesday we have four flat cards and we have the one bet at Musselburgh.

1 MILE 1F SELLER ,MUSSELBURGH 2.10

ROWAN LODGE:Goes well in claimers and sellers won three times last season.Fair 4th last time on seasonal debut in seller at Beverley over 1 mile behind Dabbers Ridge form has been boosted by winner and third both winning twice since, good second in this race last year and looks solid e-way bet against the odds on favourite FREMEN.

The obvious danger is FREMEN winner of 6 last 7 races all in claimers or sellers ,though did struggle to land the odds last time in claimer at Ffos Las .only just beating Landucci by neck.

my betting methods & Mondays best bets

Starting with 100pt betting bank on 1ST February 2010.My bets are posted each day on points basis with recommended  bets and prices (1PT MIN /10PT MAX average bet 4PTS )my bets are placed in  mainly uncompetitive Non handicap races on the flat with roughly 75 % being each/way bets and 25% win bets. These are mathematical based bets depending on prices obtained.

On too Monday four average flat cards with only the evening meeting at Windsor of any real interest.

7.10 WINDSOR 6F CLAIMER:

SILVER WIND :fair handicapper at his best winning three times last season including class 3 handicap at Doncaster over 6f last September of mark 82.Not shown great deal this season in three runs though ran lot better than finishing position suggest last time at Chester showing plenty speed leading till 2 furlongs out in fair 7f class 4 handicap.Takes drop in class here into weak class 5 claimer ,the drop back to 6f will also suit and looks well drawn in stall 8 for horse that races close to pace.Richard Hughes also looks interesting booking for David Evans.

Likely favourite FLOUNCING looks the main danger at the weights getting 14lb of SILVER WIND but looks no great shakes, only scraping home by short head last time in poor class 6 maiden at Southwell  over 7f.Well beaten the time before last at Folkestone over 6f in maiden when favourite.

SILVER WIND
2PTS E-WAY AT 9-4 CORALS B.P.G
MIN PRICE TO BACK 2-1

*stakes and price updated at 10.30 am*

Slightly disappointed with the price of SILVER WIND  9-4 top price with corals was hoping for bit better though Flouncing very weak on betfair this morning drifting to 11-4

summary of the weeks bets!!

Good to see PACO BOY win another Group one race in some style in Lockinge stakes.and now looks on target for Queen Anne stakes at Royal Ascot in June.

The PREAKNESS STAKES went to second favourite Lookin at Lucky  ,with Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver fading badly in the straight and finishing well beaten 8th.

Good card tomorrow at Longchamp with the French 1000 and 2000 Guineas and will be interesting to see how Special Duty and Dick Turpin get on.Though at the prices no real value there .NO BETS ON SUNDAY.

Overall disappointing week with just one winner from nine bets.Just one them poor weeks which will happen over the course of the year. You have to except poor weeks as well as good weeks.

Looks like being the worst  week so far after  by some way 23 points down with Saturday to come.Though its been disappointing week  NO WINNERS FROM SEVEN BETS (THREE SECONDS), with 100pt betting bank there's no real concern, over the season losing runs will happen and still have fair  profit after 15 weeks.

On too Saturday Newbury stages the Main card in GB with Group one LOCKINGE STAKES the feature race and in U.S.A the second leg of triple crown The Preakness stakes at Pimlico .

PACO BOY :Top class performer, impressive winner of Queen Anne stakes G1 at Royal Ascot last season .Made successful reappearance at Sandown in bet365 mile winning impressively by 3.5 lenghs. PACO BOY looks class above this opposition and odds of 10-11 still looks value.

SUPER SAVER :Impressive winner of Kentucky Derby at Churchill downs by 2.5 Lenghs, there looked no fluke about that performance and looks well over priced by British bookmakers at around 5-2,With only 12 runners in race, is likely to start lot shorter on American tote.

Final day of York Dante meeting with the Yorkshire cup being the feature race, and fair card from Newbury with two good listed races and we have three bets.

TURN THE TIDE :Landed a big gamble on debut 16-1 into 7-2 ,winning a fair fillies maiden in good style at Haydock,  looks open to plenty of improvement.

PURPLE MOON:Very smart performer at his best winning the Ebor over C/D in 2007 and then went on to run second in Melbourne cup & Hong Kong cup G1 races in 2008 ,only lightly raced last season the best run finishing close third in Sheema classic G1.Finished 7th on his reappearance in John porter at Newbury last month but badly needed the run.should go close here if back to his best.KITE WOOD looks the obvious danger after running second in last seasons ST LEGER though would probably prefer easier ground.

SOCIETY ROCK:Impressive winner of 6f listed race at Ascot last time, overcame troubled passage and showed smart turn of foot once in the clear and well on top at finish.unbeaten over 6f, 3 from 3 and will take plenty beating in this listed contest.

Disappointing day yesterday Cabaret ran stinker though in hindsight that was poor bet with A.O'BRIEN stable so badly out form and will not be backing any O'Brien horses till the stable hits some kind of form.

The other two bets both ran well without winning Main Aim was flying at finish but all to late finishing close third and Cocktail Charlie hard to believe how that lost 2 lenghs clear inside final furlong and traded 1-33 in running but got caught on the line.Just one them days

Decided to give York miss today looks really tricky card nothing  sticks out though there are two interesting G2 races the Dante stakes & Middleton stakes though both races look very tricky so probably good time to take a day off .

TIMEPIECE:Ante-post favourite for the OAKS after showing good form as 2-y-o .Slightly disappointing on her reappearance only 4th at Newmarket in listed contest at Newmarket though that race has turned out to be quite hot race with the winner  Rumoush going on to run well in 1000 guineas and third Marie de Medici winning listed contest next time.should improve for step up in trip.

Saturdays best bets,2000 guineas day!!

Been looking forward to the next two days the guineas festival at Newmarket.Excellent racing over the next two days thats hope for few winners.

DALRADIAN:Useful aw performer looks  well treated on turf 12lb lower than his AW mark ,and looked very unlucky last time in spring mile at Newbury finishing 7th of 23 never getting any sort run till inside final furlong .will be suited to step up to 9f.

JUKEBOX JURY:Classy performer won three group races last season including group one in Colonge and then finished close second in Canadian international at woodbine ,has to be forgiven for poor run in meydan last time ,though this not the strongest of G2 races .Claremont appears the only danger after finishing fair third in John porter stakes at Newbury two weeks ago.

ELUSIVE PIMPERNEL:Impressive winner of craven stakes over C/D,looks an improving horse and seems well suited to fast ground and at around 8-1 looks bit value.ST NICHOLAS ABBEY will take some beating on his racing post trophy win though has yet too run on fast ground and at around 5-4 is no value.Off the others FENCING MASTER could go well at big price good second in dewhurst last season and is very lightly raced is open to plenty of improvement stepping up to 1 mile.

AMOUR PROPRE: Good winner of this race last year beating HOH HOH HOH and BORDERLESCOTT by 2.5 lenghs. Was then beaten in his next two starts though they were both G1 races ,should go close back into G3 company.

ASPECTOFLOVE: Useful performer for John Oxx last season winning a listed race at Naas in October then changed stables and ran two good races in MEYDAN finishing second both times in G3 races.Takes drop in class here and should go well in this listed contest .
