2K to 10K Betting Challenge (Bet No 25 ) Sat 25th Aug

The 2K to 10K betting challenge continues on Saturday at York.

The betting bankroll stands at £2486.00 (+486.00) the stakes drop to £100.00,after Librisa Breeze finished unplaced in Hungerford stakes at Newbury last Saturday .

Moving on to Saturday we have plenty top quality racing ,though going concentrate on the opening race form York .

9 runners declared for the group three Strensall stakes over 9 furlongs ,on ground described as good/firm .The three main contenders look to be Lord Glitters , Mustashry & Seniority.

LORD GLITTERS : 5-Y-0 Grey Gelding ,winning 5 out 16 .Shown improved form this season without winning ,including finishing second in group one Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot .Also finished creditable third in Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood last time .Will be suited dropping down in class ,though all winning form on easier ground .

MUSTASHRY : 5-Y-0 Bay Gelding ,winning 5 out 12,including winning this race last year .Looks progressive sort, made winning reapperance in July, landing the Gala Stakes at Sandown beating Spark Plug .Looks open to further improvement this season .Solid claims .

SENIORITY : 4-Y-0 Chestnut gelding ,winning 5 out 12 .Been in good form this season ,winning three times ,including winning the Golden Mile at Glorious Goodwood last time ,off mark 98 .Takes step up in class ,though looks improving sort .Each-way claims .

VERDICT : Lord Glitters will be popular ,having been placed in group one company this season ,though has always looked better horse on softer ground .Still has to be respected ,though odds around 15-8 look short enough .

Last years winner MUSTASHRY should go well after winning listed contest at Sandown on seasonal reapperance .Has decent record here at, York .Odds around 4-1 look solid each-way value, for inform Sir Michael Stoute stable.
