2K to 10K Betting Challenge (Bet No 63 ) (Sat 7th Sep )

2K to 10K Betting challenge continues on Saturday at Haydock Park.

The betting bankroll stands at £3475 (+£1475 ) after Dan's Dream finished unplaced at Tipperary in Fairy Bridge Stakes. After being well supported in the market 9-2 into 11-4,could only finish disappointing seventh, finding very little in the straigh for £144.00 loss .The stakes drop down to £140.00

Moving on to Saturday we have group one action, with good  sprint from Haydock .11 runners declared for 6f Sprint Cup on ground described as soft .

This looks quite competitive race, though with the withdrawal of Advertise & Ten Sovereigns not highest quality group one sprint contest of the season. The three main contenders look to be Brando , Dream Of Dreams & Waldpfad .

BRANDO : 7-Y-0 Chestnut gelding ,winning 9 out 35.Consistent sort, including finishing second in this race last year.Returned to form last time, finishing good second in 6.5f  G1 Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville in August.Goes well on soft ground .Should be thereabouts, place claims .

DREAM OF DREAMS : 5-Y-0 Chestnut entire ,winning 5 out 23.Been in form this season winning twice, though produced career best effort at Royal Ascot in June ,finishing excellent head second behind Blue Point in G1 Diamond Jubilee Stakes .Will need bounce back after poor run in July Cup ,though has ran poorly in last three starts at Newmarket .Interesting contender returning to Haydock .

WALDPFAD : 5-Y-0 German Bay entire ,winning 7 out 15 .Shown big improvement this season since dropping down to 6 furlongs, including winning the G3 Hackwood stakes at Newbury in July ,beating Khaadem in good style giving that rival 8lb.Looks open to further improvement over this trip .Each-way claims .

VERDICT : Course and Distance winner DREAM OF DREAMS should go well if reappeating his Royal Ascot Form ,that fast finishing (head) second to Blue Point in G1 Diamond Jubilee stakes looks very decent form.Has good record on ground good/soft or softer (02211212) .Odds 5-1 look very fair e-w value .

Of the others impressive Stewards Cup winner Khaadem will have his supporters, though was soundly beaten by German raider Waldpfad at Newbury in July .Bookmakers are taking no chances with odds around 11-4, looking very poor value for horse taking big step up in class.
