The Flat Returns !!

The blog returns after short break for the start of the flat turf season ,though there appears little improvement in the weather with Doncaster already calling inspection for Friday & Saturday .

The ground conditions at Doncaster are likely to be bottomless ,with Saturday's Lincoln card in doubt with plenty more rain & snow forecast .Hopefully the weather will show some improvement in April.

After slow start to the year for the blog ,hopefully we can have change of fortune now the turf is finally here .The racing on the All Weather has been very poor this winter the worst I can remember since blog started back in 2010 .

The claiming races in particular have been complete waste of time, with nearly every race having four or less runners .At least on the turf we should have some suitable betting opportunities ,over the next few weeks .

Poor day at the office

Not great start to the trading bets with £100 / 2PTS loss on Friday ,both bets under performed badly both finishing well beaten third. No need to panic though after one poor day ,and long term these trading bets will make  profits .

Moving on to Saturday ,just the one All Weather card at Lingfield not great deal of interest here with very some tricky looking handicaps .No bets on Saturday .

Friday 1st March Trading Bets

Starting from today I will now be posting my All Weather trading bets . Each trade will be for stake of £50.00 / 1pt with each winning trade making £30.00 profit after commission .For the purposes of the blog the starting bank will be £1000 / 20 pts .

Hopefully we can get away to good start today with two trading bets .

The first trade is in 1 mile selling stakes at Lingfield 2.00 .Only three runners with any kind of chance here .

CYFLYMDER has put in two solid efforts here recently, and was only just touched off last time in handicap over C&D .Dropping back into selling company for first time since winning seller here last year .Also looks well treated receiving 13LB off the main two rivals .

Saharia looks the main danger at the weights ,after winning weak 1 mile seller at Wolverhampton last time ,though has never really convinced here at Lingfield, with having never been placed from five starts .

Paphos has excellent record at Lingfield with 8 wins at the course and can forgiven for poor run on the snow in St Moritz last time ,though faces no easy task at these weights .

VERDICT : CYFLYMDER should be quickly on the pace in this five runner race and trade a lot shorter in running and looks good trade at around 3.50 on Betfair .

The second trade in the 7 furlong 3-Y-0 handicap at 4.15 Lingfield .With just four runners declared

JIMMY THE SNOOZE  Won with bit in hand in maiden over C&D last time making all running and looks fairly treated off mark 69 on his handicap debut .Should take some catching in this small field .

Studfarmer looks the danger after finishing close third in 6 furlong handicap at Kempton last time and looks open to improvement over this longer trip .

VERDICT : JIMMY THE SNOOZE the only confirmed front runner should take some pegging back in this four runner race and trade lot shorter at half way .Looks solid trade at around 2.10
