Fridays best bets (July cup day)

Its been struggle to find winners at Newmarket this week  and again no luck on Thursday with 5.50pt loss ,very disappointing run from Spanish Moon who never really picked up in last two furlongs,not sure if it was the ground being to firm as most of his wins lately had been on softer ground though had won on good/firm twice before.

The other two bets ran OK without winning,Lord of the Stars finished second though well beaten by R.Hannon trained Casual Glimpse&Invincible Soul ran fair race in third behind Critical Moment without looking like winning.

On to Friday's racing July Cup day at Newmarket,plus meetings at York,Chester,Chepstow,Ascot&Newbury.Going concentrate on Newmarket & York and we have three bets.


JULY CUP 6F GROUP ONE NEWMARKET 3.10
FLEETING SPIRIT:Won this race last year beating Main Aim,good 4TH on seasonal reappearance  in Golden Jubilee at Royal Ascot behind Starspanglebanner beaten 2.5 Lenghs (drawn on wrong side track)trainer has reported she will improve for that run ,and can reverse form with Starspanglebanner.

HANDICAP 12F CLASS 3 NEWMARKET 4.55
BAY WILLOW:Fast improving 3-Y-0 since being stepped up to 12F ,won maiden at Leicester in May,then ran excellent 4TH in King George V stakes handicap behind the useful Dandino.Bolted up in 43k handicap at Curragh last time can race under 6lb penalty here,still looks open to plenty of improvement.

6F GROUP 3 FILLIES AND MARES YORK 2.45
SWISS DIVA:C/D winner at York ,winning twice last season in decent Handicaps ,showed improved form towards end last season finishing good 2ND behind Palace Moon in listed race at Newmarket ,very consistent filly only finished out first three once in 11 starts should go well at decent odds.
