INDIAS SONG :Won 3 from 15 on the All Weather ,Been in good form this winter winning both starts ,including winning 5 runner class 5 handicap at Chelmsford last time ,beating Walk Like Giant by half lengh .Faces no easy task  under 6LB penalty .

THECORNISHCOWBOY : Fair sort on turf ,landing five timer  last June .Not quite as good on  the All Weather ,though has won four times .Finished fair fourth last time in 10 furlong handicap at Chelmsford ,having raced very wide .Looks well handicapped of mark 69 .

GREAT EXPECTATIONS : Won 2 from 33 on the flat , though on long losing run.not won since May 2013 . Finished 1.5 lengh third behind India's Song last time at Chelmsford .Looks closely matched with that rival on 6LB better terms .

VERDICT: THECORNISHCOWBOY ran eye catching fourth last time at Chelmsford ,having  been forced to race very wide throughout  .Goes well here at Lingfield and looks more than capable winning 0-70 handicap of mark 69.Odds around 3-1 look fair value .

Great Expectations is weighted to reverse form with Indias Song on 6LB better terms and has each-way claims .

Tuesday 10th February 2.30 Southwell 7F Handicap bet .

On Tuesday we go to the east midlands, for one bet in 7 furlong 0-65 class 6 handicap on the fibresand at Southwell .

2.30 SOUTHWELL 7 FURLONG (0-65) 3-Y-0 HANDICAP :
8 Runners declared for 7 furlong three year old handicap on fibresand at Southwell .Not the strongest looking three year old handicap .The four main contenders are First Dream , Excelling Oscar , Play Nicely & Red Unico .

FIRST DREAM : Showed nothing on first two starts for Richard Hannon ,though made some improvement on first start for Roger Varian in 6 furlong maiden at Lingfield .Makes handicap debut on fibresand . Looks open to improvement .

EXCELLING OSCAR :Fair record at Southwell winning 3 from 7 ,winning twice over C&D .Won weak 6 furlong handicap on Sunday at Southwell ,beating Bushtiger by neck .Faces no easy task off 6LB higher mark .

PLAY NICELY : Maiden after seven starts ,though ran best race last time ,finishing staying on third in 6 furlong maiden at Southwell, behind Gerrards Slip .Will be suited by this longer trip and looks fairly treated off mark 57 .

RED UNICO :Maiden after 6 starts ,finishing placed three times at Southwell in handicap company . Looked disappointing last time when finishing well beaten third, when short price favourite in 1 mile maiden handicap .Should be better suited by this shorter trip .

VERDICT :First Dream will be popular here for Roger Varian first time in handicap ,Looks open to plenty improvement after just three starts, though has yet to race on fibresand and odds around 7-4, look very short for horse unproven on the surface .

PLAY NICELY will be suited by this longer trip ,after finishing staying on third in fair 6 furlong maiden at Southwell last time .Should go well in weak looking three year old handicap, for in form James Given stable .Odds around 11-2 look good each-way value .

Wednesday 4th February Conditions Stake Bet

One bet for Wednesday ,we go to Chelmsford for quality five furlong conditions race on the poly track at 3.40 .

3.40 CHELMSFORD 5F CONDITIONS RACE (3Y0) CLASS 2:

8 runners declared for 5 furlong (3Y0) conditions race (All Weather Championship Fast Track Qualifier). This looks  decent sprint, the two main contenders on official ratings are Squats & Wentworth Falls .

SQUATS : Useful 2-Y-0 last season on turf, winning three times ,including winning class two nursery handicap at Ascot off mark 89.However ran his best race, when finishing  2 Lengh fourth in group 3 Cornwallis at Newmarket.Makes All Weather debut .

WENTWORTH FALLS : Big improver since being fitted with blinkers and dropping back to 6 furlongs . Bolted up on last two starts at kempton ,including winning  6 furlong handicap by 4 lenghs off mark 83 .Looks open to more improvement.

VERDICT : SQUATS is 2LB clear on official ratings and looks the class act on last seasons two year old form .Takes big drop in class dropping into conditions company .Will be difficult to beat if handling the polytrack surface .Odds around 3-1 look decent value .

Wentworth Falls looks the main danger , though will need to show more improvement after winning class 4 handicap .The drop back in trip shouldn't be problem , though odds around 7-4 look short enough in this much stronger race .
