On Friday we go to Wolverhampton for 8.5 furlong classified claiming Stakes at 4.30 .

4.30 WOLVERHAMPTON 8.5 FURLONG 0-70 CLASSIFIED CLAIMER :
9 runners declared for 0-70 classified claiming stakes over the extended mile at Wolverhampton .The four main contenders look to be  Conry , Swift Cedar, Dansili Dutch & Dialogue .

CONRY : Been in fair form this year, winning four times ,including winning 7 furlong claimer at Wolverhampton in September on new tapeta surface .Not shown too much on the last three starts ,though will be suited by this drop back into claiming company .

SWIFT CEDAR : Won four times on turf ,including winning 7 furlong claimer last time at Leicester .Also had some fair form last season, winning two handicaps for Alan Jarvis.Has poor record on all weather surfaces 0 from 7 ,though yet to race on tapeta surface .

DANSILI DUTCH : Three time winner at Wolverhampton on the old poly track surface in handicap company  .Also Been in decent form on turf this season winning two handicaps ,including 10 furlong handicap at Haydock in September off mark 69 .Not badly treated at the weights ,though will need bounce back after two disappointing efforts recently .

DIALOGUE : Excellent record on the All Weather winning 5 from 8 ,goes particularly well here at Wolverhampton winning 4 times ,including winning claimer over C&D in October on new tapeta surface .Looks very well treated at weights .

VERDICT : Dialogue will be popular here off bottom weight (7LB clear on official ratings ) and looks sure go well returning to claiming company at his favourite track ,though odds around 11-8 look very short for horse that has only won once in  three years .

At the prices DANSILI DUTCH looks the each-way bet ,will need bounce back after couple disappointing efforts recently , though did win twice on turf this summer in handicap company and did win three times at Wolverhampton around this time last year .Not badly treated at the weights and goes well for 7LB claimer Josh Doyle .Looks over priced at 10-1.

Of the others Swift Cedar would be big danger if reproducing his turf form ,though has yet to convince on the All Weather ,having not won in seven starts .

Conry can't be totally ruled out ,though seems much better horse over 7 furlongs and has looked non stayer over this trip in the past .

STONEFIELD FLYER :Won twice this year at Kempton, both in class 4 handicaps .Returned to form last time winning 7 furlong handicap in good style off mark 77.Has to concede weight all round ,though drops into claiming company for first time.

MY SON MAX : Fair record on All Weather winning five times from 20 starts ,including winning 7 furlong seller at Wolverhampton last time .Not badly treated at the weights ,though this looks much stronger contest .

EXCEEDEXPECTATIONS :Decent record on poly track winning 8 from 37  ,including winning back to back handicaps over C&D at Lingfield in July ,been bit disappointing on his last two starts at Kempton in handicap company ,including finishing only fifth behind Stonefield Flyer last time ,though has good record at Lingfield and looks well treated at the weights .

VERDICT : Stonefield Flyer will be popular dropping into class 6 company for first time, after winning class 4 handicap at Kempton last time ,though doesn't face any easy task conceding weight all round .Has to be repected, though Odds around 7-4 don't make great appeal.

On 12LB better terms EXCEEDEXPECTATIONS can reverse form with Stonefield Flyer.Goes particularly well here at Lingfield ,Running well on his last four starts at the track over C&D in handicap company .Odds around 5-1 look fair each-way value .

HARRIS TWEED :Useful sort on turf ,winning 7 from 26 ,including winning three listed races and group three ,however hasn't looked as good this season, though did finish second in class 2 handicap at Leicester off mark 105 last time .Lightly raced on poly track ,though has never convinced in four starts,  finishing well  beaten third in this race in 2012 .

RAWAKI :Steady improvement this season in group and listed company ,including finishing third in G3 John Porter stakes at Newbury & finishing close second in Listed handicap at Musselburgh off mark 103 .Won 14 furlong conditions race at Salisbury in September  beating Aussie Reigns in good style .Ran well on both starts on poly track back 2011/12

KALAATAH :Unbeaten filly winning both starts on poly track ,including winning maiden over C&D on debut .Won 12 furlong handicap at Wolverhampton last time off mark 81 .Looks open to plenty improvement after 2 starts ,though takes big step up in class .

VERDICT :The lightly raced 3-Y-0 filly Kalaatah is not easy to assess ,receiving plenty of weight of her main rivals ,though has been put in very short here for horse that only won class 4 handicap .Will need to improve around 15LB too take this listed contest and makes little appeal at 15-8 .

Course specialist GRENDISAR looks the one to beat here ,after winning similar race last time over course and distance .Should come on for that run ,first run since April .Has excellent record here at Kempton and can concede weight all round .Odds around 9-2 look very decent each-way value .

Of the others Rawaki has each-way claims on the pick of his turf form this season in group company, though is not easiest horse to win with .

Saturday 22nd November Claiming Stakes Bet

Apologies for the lack of posts over the last two months, after having to deal with the sudden loss of my mother .My mind hasn't really been on racing as you can imagine and decided to take a complete break from the blog .

Dealing with a bereavement is never easy ,especially when it's cancer related ,the last few weeks have been difficult, with so much too sort out ,though you have too move on and try get back to normal .

Now seems good time to get back to the blog, with winter All Weather racing now under way hopefully we can have profitable few weeks before the turn of the year .

NAOISE :Formerly trained in Ireland by Jim Bolger, winning three times .Changed hands for 9,000 guineas at Newmarket sales in July .Had looked disappointing on turf for Ollie Pears ,this summer ,though bounced back to form winning back to back handicaps over C/D at Wolverhampton on the tapeta.Has bit to find on official ratings ,though in top form and has good record on All Weather surfaces (2132152811)

TEE IT UP TOMMO : Been in good form this year winning five times on poly track, including winning class 5 handicap over C&D in March by 5 lenghs  .Bit disappointing  last time when only 5th in claimer over C&D on the new tapeta surface .Well treated at the weights ,though has to prove himself on this surface .

TOTO SKYLLATCHY :Returned to form in September winning 1 mile seller at Redcar & bolted up by 6 lenghs in 7 furlong handicap at Southwell earlier this month.Fair second last time at Southwell over 1 mile off mark 71,though was very disappointing over C&D in October on tapeta.Having first start for David O' Meara .

VERDICT : Tee It Up Tommo is best in at the weights ,and has good record on All Weather . 6 out 14 , though was well beaten favourite in similar race last time over C&D on tapeta .Odds around  3-1 make no appeal

Strictly at the weights NAOISE has bit to find, though has looked natural on the new tapeta surface winning both starts over C&D under promising 3lb claimer Jacob Butterfield.Should get the race run to suit ,with plenty pace in the race . Odds around 5-1 look fair each-way value .

Of the others Toto Skyllatchy has been in good form in handicap company on fibresand at Southwell and should be thereabouts , not badly treated at the weights, though has to prove he can handle this surface .

Thursday 24th July Silver Flash Stakes Bet

After few frustrating results in July ,it was nice to finally hit the board with Minalisa winning 6 furlong listed race at Naas @ 3-1 for tidy £180.00 profit .Hopefully we can finish the month strongly.

JACK TAYLOR : Improved with each start ,winning 7 furlong maiden at Roscommon in good style last time beating Syntax by 3.5 Lenghs .That didn't look the strongest race ,though her second at Fairyhouse at the end of May has worked out very well with six winners coming out of the race.Each-way claims .

MARSALI : Impressive 3.5 lengh winner on debut when winning 6 furlong maiden at Fairyhouse from wide stall in 15 runner maiden. That form hasn't really worked out with no winners coming out of the race ,though looks open to plenty improvement over this longer trip and has group one entry in Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket

RAYDARA :Eyecatching debut finishing second in hot looking maiden at the Curragh ,behind the highly regarded A . O' Brien trained Words ,that form has worked out well with both 5th & 6th from that race winning maidens next time.Made no mistake last week winning 7 furlong maiden over C&D at Leopardstown .

VERDICT : RAYDARA looks very promising sort, and the form of her second at the Curragh last month looks the strongest form in the race .Won easily in maiden over  C&D last week at Leopardstown and looks the one beat in this G3 contest . Odds around 3-1 look decent value.

Marsali looks the main danger after winning in good style at Fairyhouse on debut from bad draw, couldn't been more impressive that day and looks good prospect ,though its a bit of concern that nothing has won from that race.

GATHERING POWER : Dual C&D winner at Naas ,winning two handicaps, including winning 10k handicap in April off mark 87 .However showed improved form in May ,finishing second at Haydock in 6 furlong listed race behind Joyeuse on soft ground.Bit disappointing last time only finishing 6 of eight in G3 contest at Leopardstown.

8 runners declared for 7 furlong fillies & mares group three contest on ground described as good/firm .The three main contenders look to be Majestic Queen , Wannabe Better & Sparrow .

MAJESTIC QUEEN :Progressive filly ,winning 4 from 10 starts .Been in good form recently finishing creditable third in class 2 handicap at Ascot in May off mark 94 , produced a career best effort last time winning 6 furlong G3 contest beating useful Joyeuse by 2.75 lenghs at Leopardstown. The return to 7 furlongs should also suit.

WANNABE BETTER : Improving sort ,winning 4 from 18 .Won two 1 mile listed races last season at Killaney & Naas .Showed improved form this season winning 7 furlong G3 contest at Leopardstown last time beating Eastern Rules .Handles any ground and has to be respected .

SPARROW : Won 6 furlong maiden at Curragh in good style last October ,though showed improved form to finish staying on third behind Majestic Queen in G3 at Leopardstown last time.Looks open to plenty improvement and will be suited by this longer trip .

VERDICT : MAJESTIC QUEEN was ready winner last time over 6 furlongs at Leopardstown in group three company ,though clearly stays further having won twice over this trip last season .She can confirm form with Sparrow on 3LB worse terms .Odds 10-3 with Corals look very fair .

Sparrow should improve over this longer trip and rates as the main danger ,though still has nearly three lenghs to find with Majestic Queen on only 3LB better terms .

Monday 30th June Claiming stakes bet

Slightly disappointing result for the blog yesterday with Ambivalent only finishing fourth in Pretty Polly stakes at Curragh behind Thistle Bird ,though overall decent week for blog with 2 winners from 3 bets for £302 profit on the week .

As usual for Monday not much quality ,though we do have interesting  little claiming stakes on fibresand at Souhwell at 3.45 .

3.45 SOUTHWELL 7F APPRENTICE CLAIMING STAKES CLASS 6:
9 runners go to post for 7 furlong apprentice claiming stakes on fibresand at Southwell .The three main contenders on official ratings are My Son Max ,Fast Finian & Intrepid

MY SON MAX :Won  6 from 43  ,including bolting up by 6 lenghs over C&D  in weak three runner seller at Southwell in March, though probably better judged when finishing fair second too useful handicapper Sound Advice in class 4 handicap at Southwell in March .Been running OK on turf this season, including finishing close third in 7 furlong class 5 handicap at Leicester last time .Will be suited dropping into claiming company .

FAST  FINIAN : Had some useful form back in 2012/13 winning four times ,including winning class 3 handicap at Yarmouth off mark 85,though has looked disappointing on last three starts in handicap company ,finishing last of 11 at Yarmouth last time .Looks well treated on official ratings  ,though has big question mark .

INTREPID :Only win came in 7 furlong maiden at Lingfield in 2012 for Jeremy Noseda ,had looked disappointing for Tim Pitt ,finishing unplaced in three starts .However seem return to form last time on his first start for Ian Williams ,finishing close fourth in class 4 handicap over C&D at Southwell .Should go well dropping into class 6 company .

VERDICT : Fast Finian is 8LB clear on official ratings and takes big drop in class ,though has shown next to nothing on his last three starts, and runs on fibresand for first time. Can't be ruled out though will need bounce back after three poor efforts .

MY SON MAX looks the percentage call here ,has ran well on both starts on fibresand here at Southwell .Finished creditable third last time in handicap company at Leicester and will be suited dropping into class 6 company for first time since winning seller over C&D in March .Odds around 11-4 look fair value in weak race .

Intrepid looks obvious danger after finishing fourth over C&D last time ,that race is working out well with third winning class 4 handicap next time . However odds around 9-4 don't look great value for horse that hasn't won for 18 months .

Sunday 29th June Pretty Polly Stakes bet

On Sunday we have top quality card in Ireland at the Curragh with four group races .Going concentrate on the days feature race the group one Pretty Polly stakes at 4.20 .

4.20 CURRAGH 10F PRETTY POLLY STAKES FILLIES & MARES G1 :
10 runners declared for G1 Pretty Polly stakes for Fillies & Mares on ground described as Good/Firm .Not the strongest looking G1 contest ,though still looks interesting race .The three main contenders look to be Ambivalent , Thistle Bird & Venus De Milo .

AMBIVALENT : Useful 5 year old mare winning 5 from 15 ,including winning this race last year  ,has shown useful form this season finishing third in G1 Dubai Sheema Classic at Meydan in March ,followed that winning the G2 Middelton Stakes at York in May .Ran creditable third last time in Coronation Cup at Epsom ,behind useful Cirrus De Aigles .Obvious claims returning to this weaker  fillies and mares race.

THISTLE BIRD : Very consistent mare winning 7 from 19 ,including winning G3 Princes Margret stakes at Epsom for last two years.Ran two creditable efforts in G1 company last year, including finishing close second in Nassau Stakes at Glorious Goodwood behind Winsili .Should go well with ideal conditions .

VENUS DE MILO : Decent four year old filly winning 4 from 8 ,had some useful form last season winning three times ,including in G3 company at Cork , though probably ran her best two races when finishing second in Irish Oaks & Yorkshire Oaks . Will be suited by this fast ground, though not certain to be suited by this shorter trip.

VERDICT : Last years winner AMBIVALENT has looked as good as ever this season ,putting in three solid efforts and lost nothing in defeat last time when finishing behind 123 rated Cirrus De Aigles .Looks the one beat in this much weaker  fillies & Mares race . Odds around 3-1 look very fair value.

Thistle Bird looks the main danger on pick of her G1 form, from last season ,though does have bit to find with Ambivalent when finishing behind that mare at York in May .

Saturday 28th June Eternal Listed Stakes Bet

On Saturday we have plenty top quality action ,though the racing looks very tricky this weekend with plenty thunderstorms forecast .For the blogs main bet we go to Newmarket for 7 furlong fillies listed race at 4.05.

4.05 NEWMARKET 7F ETERNAL LISTED STAKES :
10 Runners declared for 7 furlong fillies listed race on ground described as good/firm .This doesn't look the strongest listed race with the three main contenders on official ratings All Along ,Evita Peron ,Manderly .

ALONG AGAIN : Won 6 furlong maiden at Lingfield last July & then finished excellent third in G3 Princess Margret stakes at Ascot two weeks later .However was very disappointing on her first start this season finishing last of 17 in Nell Gywn Stakes at Newmarket (Played up in stalls) .Will need bounce back after that poor run, though can't be ruled out if reproducing her Princess Margret form.

EVITA PERON :Progressive filly ,won 19 runner 7 furlong maiden at Newbury in April in good style  .Followed that with good second in conditions race at Ascot ,just getting touched off by Adhwaa on soft  ,though showed improved form last time finishing close fourth in G2 German 1000 guineas.Obvious claims in this listed contest ,any rain would also suit .

MANDERLY : Finished excellent fourth in 1000 guineas at Newmarket at 100-1 behind Miss France ,followed that winning weak 1 mile maiden at Nottingham last time .Not easy to assess as had looked disappointing last season ,though obvious claims if reproducing her Guineas form .

VERDICT : Manderly is clearly the one to beat if reproducing her guineas form ,though she seem get easy lead that day and it looks doubtful she can reproduce that form .Looks worth taking on at around 11-4

EVITA PERON looks to be improving with every race .The form of her fourth in German 1000 Guineas last time looks solid form and she can land this listed contest .Odds around 9-2 looks very fair value.

7.30 NAAS 10 FURLONG NAAS OAKS TRIAL (LISTED STAKES)
AVENUE GABRIAL :Won twice last season, including 1 mile listed race at Curragh last September.Shown fair form this season ,finishing 1.5 lengh third behind Bracelet in G3 1000,Irish guineas trial at Leopardstown in March .Ran creditable fourth in Irish guineas last time behind Marvelous. Has 3lb penalty, though should be suited by this drop in class .

CARLA BIANCA :Had some useful form as two year old ,finishing second behind Australia in 7 furlong maiden at Curragh and good fourth in G1 Moyglare Stud stakes at Curragh behind Rizeena .Bolted up in 10 furlong maiden last time at Navan beating Starlet by five lenghs .Looked well suited by longer trip on fast ground .Obvious claims with conditions to suit .

PALACE :Improving sort ,won 1 mile maiden at Navan in April and finished close second in G3 at Leopardstown in May,though probably ran her best race when finishing staying on 7th of 17 in Epsom Oaks .Drop back in trip shouldn't be problem, though has yet to race on ground this fast .

VERDICT :CARLA BIANCA looks to have ideal conditions here 10 furlongs on fast ground and looks more than capable landing this listed Oaks trial .Had some useful form as two year old finishing behind the likes of Australia & Rizeena . Odds around 11-4 look decent value .

Palace looks obvious danger ,dropping into listed company after contesting two classics ,though has to prove she can handle this very fast ground .

Weekly Results Round Up !!!

Steady week for blog at Royal Ascot with one winner & three places from four bets .The highlight was Integral winning G2 Duke Of Cambridge stakes in good style at recommended 3-1 for £187.50 profit.

The First bet of the week was Verrazano finishing decent second at 6-1 in G1 Queen Anne Stakes behind odds on favourite Toranado, though beaten under lengh never really looked like winning. So Quite happy with £25.00 profit off the race .

Hot Streak ran Ok in G1 King Stand Stakes ,finishing third at recommended 4-1,though was no match for winner Sole Power in closing stakes, though he handles fast ground ,seems much better horse with cut in the ground .Money back of that bet .

Hillstar was no match for stable companion Telescope in G2 Hardwicke Stakes, though ran on well in closing stages to finish never nearer second .No complaints with second place and 7-1 SP was added bonus .For £37.50 profit on the race.

Overall Not spectacular Royal Ascot, though still profitable week with £250.00 profit for the blog.Looking ahead to this week not great deal happening till weekend.Newmarket ,Newcastle & Curragh all stage some top quality action, with the Irish Derby the highlight on Saturday .

ROYAL ASCOT 3.45 HARDWICKE STAKES GROUP TWO
10 runners declared for Hardwicke Stakes over 1 mile 4 furlongs .This looks cracking group two contest with the three main contenders : Forgotten Voice , Hillstar & Telescope .

FORGOTTEN VOICE :Useful dual purpose nine year old gelding, winning  6 out 20 on the flat .won twice last season ,including the G3 Glorious Stakes at Goodwood in August .Also won at Royal Ascot winning the Listed  Wolferton stakes over 10 furlongs .Finished good second last time behind Mount Athos in Listed race at Newbury .This looks much stronger race ,though goes well here at Ascot and has each-way claims .

HILLSTAR :Progressive three year old last season winning G2 King Edward V11 stakes at Royal Ascot over C&D and then finishing excellent third in G1 King George at Ascot ,behind the useful German colt Novellist.Finished well beaten second last time behind Brown Panther in Ormonde Stakes at Chester ,though looked unsuited by soft ground .Should go well returning to Ascot on fast ground .

TELESCOPE : Won three times from seven starts ,Showed progressive form last season winning twice  ,including winning G2 Great Voltiguer at York in August .Finished second on both starts this season behind Noble Mission on soft ground .Will be suited by fast ground conditions

VERDICT : Interesting race with Sir Michael Stoute having two live contenders .Telescope will be popular here with Ryan Moore aboard and looks to have ideal conditions, though will still need to improve to take this group two contest .Has to be respected ,though odds around 9-4 look little short.

HILLSTAR'S third in last season's  group one King George over C&D is best form on offer here and can bounce back to form with ground conditions in his favour.Goes well here at Ascot and should go close .Odds around 9-2 look fair value .

Wednesday 18th June Royal Ascot Day Two

4.25 ROYAL ASCOT 1M DUKE CAMBRIDGE STAKES G2:
14 runners declared for Group two Duke Cambridge Stakes for .This look cracking mile contest for fillies & mares . The three standout performers are Sky Lantern ,Integral & Esoterique.

SKY LANTERN :High class four year old filly ,won four times in group one company ,including winning 1000 guineas at Newmarket last season .Also won G1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot last year & Sun Chariot at Newmarket .Has 5lb group one penalty here ,though is class act of the field

INTEGRAL :Typical Sir Michael Stoute progressive filly ,won twice last season both at Sandown in Listed race and then dead heated in group three Dahlia Stakes .However ran her best race when finishing 1 lenth second behind Sky Lantern in group one Sun Chariot .Finished close second in Dahlia stakes on her seasonal reappearence behind Esoterique .As with most Sir Michael Stoute horses should improve greatly for her first the run of the season.

ESOTERIQUE : Useful French filly winning 3 from 7 ,also finished close Second in French 1000 guineas last season .Won group three Dahlia stakes at Newmarket over 9 furlongs just pipping Integral by head ,though had fitness edge that day  .Should be thereabouts.

VERDICT : Sky Lantern is class act here having won four group one races ,though faces no easy task conciding 5LB on her first start of the season ,has to be repected though may just need this race .

INTEGRAL on 5LB better terms and fitness edge can reverse form with Sky Lantern and can land the Duke Of Cambridge Stakes .She showed progressive form last season and looks open to plenty improvement this season  .Trainer Sir Michael Stoute also has good record in the race winning three times in last 10 years.Odds around 3-1 look fair value .

Tuesday 17th June Royal Ascot Day One !!

The blog kicks off with two bets on day one at Royal Ascot.

2.30 ROYAL ASCOT 1M QUEEN ANNE STAKES GROUP ONE :
10 runners declared for 1 mile Queen Anne stakes. The first of three group one races on day one at Royal Ascot .The two standout horses here are TORANADO & VERRAZANO both proven group one winners .

TORANADO : Won five times from 8 starts ,won twice last season ,including the Craven at Newmarket & the group one Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood ,beating the useful Drawn Approach .Finished the season with disappointing run in Juddmonte International at York finishing last of 6 over 10 furlongs ,though never looked right that day .Goes well fresh, having won first time out for last two seasons and has obvious claims returning to 1 mile .

VERRAZANO : High class American colt for Todd Pletcher ,winning six out 10 on the dirt ,including two grade one races .Made promising debut for Aiden O ' Brien, finishing third in Lockinge Stakes at Newbury behind Olympic Glory on his first start on the turf .Looks sure come on for that run and looks interesting contender .

VERDICT : Toranado is 5LB clear on official ratings and looks the one to beat on the pick of last seasons form ,though 10-11 looks short for horse that hasn't run for 300 days, on the back of disappointing run in Juddmote International at York last August .

VERRAZANO ran promising race in Lockinge at Newbury and should be spot on for this race, with that run under his belt. With most of Aiden O 'Briens horses this season they have improved greatly for first run of the season .In race lacking strengh in depth VERRAZANO looks the each-way bet against short price fav .

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3.45 ROYAL ASCOT 5F KING STAND STAKES GROUP ONE:

17 runners declared for King Stand stakes, though this looks competitive race the three stand out proven group one performers are SHE SHEA ,SOLE POWER & HOT STREAK .

SHEA SHEA : Useful South African sprinter and three time grade one winner .Ran with credit in Uk last season finishing close second in this race last year, beaten neck by Sole Power .Also finished close second in Nunthorpe at York in August .Finished close third in Al Quoz at Meydan in March on World Cup night . Should be thereabouts ,though seems to come up just short in top group one races in Uk .

SOLE POWER :Grand seven year old ,been running in all top sprint races for last four seasons ,winning two grade one races ,including winning this race last year . Been in decent form this season winning group three Palace House stakes at Newmarket last time.Looks sure to run his race has and solid each-way claims .

HOT STREAK : Improving three year old colt winning 4 from 8 , won twice last season ,including winning by 5 lenghs over C&D in Cornwallis at Ascot in October ,also finished exellent second in G1 Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket .Been in good form this season finishing just behind Sole Power in Palace House Stakes at Newmarket on his first start this season .Improved for that race last time when winning group two Temple Stakes at Haydock .Looks to be progressing with each race .

VERDICT : This looks competitive group one sprint .Last years first and second Sole Power & Shea Shea should both go well again .

However the progressive three year old HOT STREAK can land this group one contest .Was impressive winner of Cornwallis Stakes over course and distance last term .Won the Temple stakes at Haydock last time in good style and still looks open to plenty improvement.

Thursday June 11th Lord Weinstock Memorial listed stakes bet

On Thursday we have decent looking 10 furlong listed race at Newbury for three year old fillies. ,with 10 runners declared .The three main contenders look to be Belle De Lawers , Eastern Belle & Jordan Princess .

3.25 NEWBURY 10F LORD WEINSTOCK LISTED STAKES :
BELLE DE LAWERS : Caused big upset when winning  by 4 lenghs in 1 mile maiden on debut at Haydock at 50-1 .Showed that was no fluke ,when finishing eye catching fifth in decent looking 1 mile listed race at York last time, finishing well in closing stages.Looks open to plenty improvement and should be suited by this step up in trip .

EASTERN BELLE : Still a maiden after four starts ,though has shown plenty of promise ,finishing second on her last three starts .Finished good second last time in 10 furlong listed race at Goodwood behind Marsh Daisy on soft ground .Should go well if handling this faster ground .

JORDAN PRINCESS :Finished promising second on her seasonal reappearence this season ,behind the useful Taghrooda in 10 furlong listed race at Newmarket. However was bitterly disappointing last time when finishing last of 7 when favourite behind Marsh Daisy at Goodwood on Soft ground .Not easy to assess ,though will need to bounce back after that poor effort.

VERDICT : Eastern Belle is 5LB clear on official ratings and seem to show big improvement last time when stepping up in trip .However all her best form has been on soft surface and has to prove she can handle much quicker ground .Has to be respected ,though odds around 3-1 look short for horse that is still maiden

The lightly raced BELLE DE LAWERS can land this listed contest on only her third start ,she ran very promishing fifth last time at York in what looked stronger listed race and looks sure to improve over this longer trip .Odds around 9-2 look very fair value .

Friday 6th June Princess Elizabeth Stakes Bet

1.35 EPSOM PRINCESS ELIZABETH STAKES GROUP 3 :
10 Runners declared for G3 Princess Elizabeth Stakes, on ground described as good .This looks decent contest for Fillies & Mares .The four main contenders on official ratings are :Mango Diva ,Just The Judge,Odeliz & Thistle Bird .

MANGO DIVA :  Progressive 4-Y-0 filly for Sir Michael Stoute ,winning three times last season ,including winning nine furlong G3 at Gowan Park in September .finished fair fourth on her seasonal reappearence in group two Middleton Stakes at York last time, though will need career best effort to land this contest .

JUST THE JUDGE : Had some very useful form last season ,including finishing second in 1000 guineas at Newmarket & winning Irish 1000 guineas at Curragh ,though has looked disappointing on her last three starts, including when well beaten in G3 Earl Of Sefton at Newmarket on her seasonal reappearence in April .Will need to bounce back ,though respected on pick of her form .

ODELIZ :Consistent filly ,won twice last season ,including listed race at Lonchamp over 11 furlongs .Already had three starts this season ,only just getting touched off in G3 at Curragh in March .Also finished creditable third in G2 Middleton Stakes at York ,finishing ahead of Mango Diva & Thistle Bird .Should be thereabouts ,though more likely to be placed than win .

THISTLE BIRD : Useful 6-Y-0 mare, with plenty decent form last season, including winning this race last year .Also finished good second in G1 Nassau Stakes at Goodwood only beaten neck ,though probably ran her best race in Prix De L ' Opera only beaten nose & neck behind the useful Dalkala on Arc Day .

VERDICT :  Last years winner THISTLE BIRD can return to winning ways in Princess Elizabeth Stakes .Has won second time out ,for last three seasons and can reverse York form with both Odeliz & Mango Diva .On the pick of her 2013 form, looks to hold outstanding claims in this group three contest .Odds around 3-1 look decent value .

Just The Judge will need to bounce back after three disappointing efforts ,though had some useful form around this time last year and would be big danger if reproducing her guineas & Royal Ascot form.

 2.05 HAYDOCK 1MILE 4F GROUP 3 PINNACLE STAKES:
11 runners declared for 12 furlong group three Pinnacle Stakes. This looks high quality group three contest for fillies & mares on ground described as soft .On official ratings the three main contenders look to be Cubanita , Astonishing & Moment In Time.

CUBANITA : Likeable five year old mare, ran some excellent races last season ,including winning the group three St Simon Stakes at Newbury, beating Nichols Canyon in good style on testing ground .Also won the group three John Porter stakes on her first start this season, beating the useful Noble Mission by neck .Looked non stayer last time in Yorkshire Cup ,when finishing unplaced behind Celestial Choir .Will be suited by soft ground and returning to this more suitable trip .

ASTONISHING :Improving four year old filly ,won twice last season, including bolting up in 12 furlong listed race at Newmarket by 7 lenghs in September.Ran fair 3 lengh fourth behind Cubanita in John Porter last time ,should come on for that run ,though is unproven on soft ground .

Sunday 25th May Weekly Results Round Up

Decent week for the blog with £300.00 profit ,the weeks only bet Seek The Fair Land winning the 7 furlong claiming stakes at Lingfield on Wednesday  at 5-1.

Seek The Fair Land was big drifter in the market available at top price 3-1 in morning, though opened on course at 7-1 before being supported into 5-1 just before the off .

Having backed the horse at 3-1 best odds guarantee in morning, was very surprised the horse drifted that much, especially being five time course winner at track.

This turned into strange race with the second favourite Kimbali very reluctant to race losing all chance at start, and Cash is King rearing up as stalls opened. The odds on fav Capaill Leath under Richard Hughes was in trouble a long way out and could never land a blow, finishing well beaten fifth.

Seek The Fair Land was always well placed just behind the leaders and came to challenge two furlongs out ,though took time to pick up ,before staying on well to lead close home .

Sadly no bets for the blog over the weekend, with so much rain about  ,decided not to get involved this weekend with so many non runners .Hopefully the weather will improve as we head towards June.

Wednesday 21st May Claiming Stakes Bet

For the blogs best bet on Wednesday we are back on All Weather at Lingfield for 7 furlong claiming stakes at 4.00 .

9 runners declared for 7 furlong claimer on poly track at Lingfield .The three main contenders are Seek The Fair Land ,Capaill Liath & Kimbal

4.00 LINGFIELD 7 FURLONG CLAIMING STAKES CLASS 6:
SEEK THE FAIR LAND : Course specialist winning five times at Lingfield .Won twice this year both in claiming company over 7 furlongs .Finished fair second in 6 furlong handicap at Lingfield behind Desert Strike earlier this month off mark 74 .Slightly disappointing last time though that was on the turf .Obvious claims now dropping back into claiming company at his favourite course .

CAPAILL LIATH : Consistent sort , won three times last season ,twice in claiming company .Been in fair form this season without winning  ,finishing placed three times in handicap company .Finished fair third in 7 furlong  handicap at Thirsk on Saturday .Looks well treated on official ratings  .

KIMBALI : Won 7 furlong handicap at Wolverhampton in November beating Barbados Bob by half-lengh off mark 65 .Returned to form on Monday finishing second in 1 mile seller behind Swift Cedar ,though this looks stronger race and often very slowly away .

VERDICT : Capaill Liath will be popular here with Richard Hughes looking eyecatching jockey booking.Has put in three creditable efforts on turf in handicap company this season. However has yet to convince here at Lingfield (0 from 5 )and was well beaten on his last two starts at the track in claiming company. At short odds looks worth opposing.

SEEK THE FAIR LAND  can return to winning ways and record his sixth win at the track.Returning to claiming company for first time since winning 7 furlong claimer at Kempton in March .Also had main rival Capaill Liath behind when winning 7 furlong claimer over C&D in February .Odds around 3-1 look very fair value in weak race .

Sunday 18th May Weekly Results Round Up

After short break  for the blog ,it was nice to come back on Saturday with 7-2 winner, with Mount Athos winning Aston Park  listed Stakes in good style at Newbury for £218.00 profit on the day.

After few disappointing results at the end of March and start of April ,decided to take short break from the blog, before the flat season gets into full swing .

April and start of May are always tricky months on the flat, with lot of the top quality horses not fully tuned up this early in the season .Finding strong  bets in non handicap races is never easy this early in season.

As we head into final two weeks in May ,we should start to see few more bets for the blog, with some quality racing next week at Goodwood, Haydock & Curragh .

Aston Park Stakes bet!!

After taking little break the blog returns on Saturday for decent looking card at Newbury with highlight the group one Lockinge Stakes over 1 mile at 3.50

This doesn't  look the strongest looking group one race and Olympic Glory is clearly the one beat on last years QE11 form ,though would probably prefer softer ground and at around 11-10 mark on his first start of the season is not betting proposition for me .

For the blogs main bet we concentrate on 1 mile 5 furlong Aston Park listed stakes at 2.05 .

2.05 NEWBURY JLT ASTON PARK LISTED STAKES 1 MILE 5 FURLONGS:
10 runners declared for decent looking listed contest over extended 13 furlongs on ground described as good .The three main contenders look to be Forgotten Voice , Mount Athos & Sky Hunter .

FORGOTTEN VOICE : Fair sort for Jeremy Noseda back in 2009 ,including winning Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot ,returned to form over hurdles back in 2012/13 for Nicky Henderson .Also Won twice on flat last season including G3 Glorious Stakes at Goodwood in August .

MOUNT ATHOS : Decent performer when getting sound surface, winning 8 times from 30 starts .Had some useful form last season including winning G3 Ormande stakes at Chester by 9 lenghs also finished very creditable third in Melbourne Cup .Ran with credit at Meydan in March finishing close third in City Of Gold G2 stakes .

SKY HUNTER : Won four times for Andre Fabre back in 2012/13 ,also finished excellent third in French Derby behind Intello .Very disappointing on his first start for Saeed Bin Suroor, finishing well beaten fifth behind Noble Mission in Gordon Richard stakes in April  .

VERDICT : MOUNT ATHOS taking drop in class can return to winning ways in JLT Aston Park stakes .Looked as good as ever when finishing close third behind Excellent Result in G2 at Meydan in March .Looks more than capable taking this listed contest ,with drying ground conditions also in his favour .Odds around 3-1 look fair value .

Forgotten Voice looks the main danger, had some decent form last season for Nicky Henderson, including winning in G3 company and normally goes well fresh .

Wednesday 16th April Feilden Stakes Bet

On Wednesday we see the start of Newmarket's Craven meeting. I will be travelling down to Newmarket early Wednesday morning for what looks interesting eight race card.

The feature race is £65,000 group three Nell Gwyn stakes at 4.05 , this looks very competitive contest with 15 runners declared, no strong fancy in this race which looks very wide open ,though Sand Diva should go well for Richard Fahey and Frankie Dettori .

For days main bet at Newmarket we go to the nine furlong Fielden Stakes at 4.40 .

4.40 NEWMARKET 9F FEILDEN LISTED STAKES :
10 runners declared fo 9 furlong Fielden listed Stakes for 3 year olds on ground described as good .The three main contenders look to be Somewhat , Obliterator & True Story .

SOMEWHAT : Showed some smart form as two year old ,impressive winner of 7 furlong listed stakes at Newbury in August beating useful Be Ready by 4 lenghs .Also finished close second at Newmarket in both the G2 Superlative Stakes & Royal Lodge Stakes .Should go well dropping back into Listed company.

OBLITERATOR : Impressive winner of 1 mile maiden at Curragh in September, on his only start. Not easy to assess that form ,though looks open to plenty improvement and is well bred horse being half brother to Just The Judge .Has plenty big race entries including 2000 guineas & Irish Derby .

TRUE STORY :Made promising debut at Newmarket in June ,finishing good second behind the Useful Breeders Cup winner Outstrip .Bolted up next time winning 7 furlong maiden at Newmarket beating the 99 rated Expert by over three lenghs .

VERDICT : SOMEWHAT has 3LB penalty for winning listed Washington Singer stakes in August ,though is the class act here having finished close second in two decent group 2 races .Should also be suited by this  longer trip .4-1 with Stan James looks decent value .

True Story looks open to plenty improvement this season over longer trips, after showing plenty of promise  last season , though this will be step up in class and odds around 11-4 looks no great value .

Wednesday 9th April Further Flight Listed Stakes Bet

Been quiet start to April with no bets for blog last week ,though the Flat racing really gets started this weekend with Newbury's big Dubai Duty Free meeting,Featuring G3 John Porter Stakes, Greenham Stakes & Fred Darling Stakes. That's followed by Newmarket's Craven Meeting Next  Wednesday and Thursday.

Going back to Wednesday's racing we have fair looking card at Nottingham with the day's feature race. The Barry Hills Further Flight listed stakes over 1 mile 6 furlongs .

4.10 NOTT 1MILE 6F BARRY HIlLS FURTHER FLIGHT (LISTED RACE)

10 runners declared for Nottingham's Feature race the £40,000. Barry Hills Further Flight Stakes over 1 mile 6 furlongs on soft ground .The three main contenders look to be Biographer , High Jinx & Flying Officer .

BIOGRAPHER : Useful stayer ,winning twice in 2012 ,including Listed race at Ascot over this trip  on soft ground .Ran with credit last season in group races without winning .Also finished close second in Esher Listed Stakes at Sandown .Will be suited returning to listed company on soft ground.

HIGH JINX : Consistent stayer ,showed some useful form in group races over last two seasons ,including finishing second in G2 Doncaster Cup for last two years .Not the easiest horse to win with ,though will suited by this drop in class .Ryan Moore looks eyecatching Jockey booking .

FLYING OFFICER :Lightly raced four year old gelding ,only had the three starts ,winning twice ,including bolting up in 10 furlong class 3 handicap at Windsor last season .Should be suited by this step up in trip ,being brother to St Leger winner Lucano .

VERDICT :BIOGRAPHER looks to have plenty in his favour here ,having proven record  in Listed company over 1 mile 6f on soft ground .Also ran well on his reappearance last season fininishing close fourth in hot handicap at York .Looks the one to beat with conditions to suit .Odds around 4-1 look very fair value .

Of the others High Jinx has plenty form in group races ,though seems struggle to get his head in front these days and normally comes on for his first run of the season .

Flying Officer is interesting runner for John Gosden & looks sure improve over longer trips this season ,though faces no easy task ,stepping up to listed company and is unproven on soft ground .

Weekly / Monthly Results Round Up !!!

This has to be described as one them weeks were nothing went right .Starting on Saturday there were two bets at Meydan's big World cup meeting .

The first bet was in two mile group two Dubai Gold Cup on  Saeed Bin Suroor trained CAVALRYMAN who looked decent bet at 11-4 to win the race for second year running .£50.00 each-way @ 11-4 with Betfred was the bet.Well supported in market going off 7-4 fav

In the race CAVALRYMAN travelled well just in behind the leaders and had good position turning into the straight  ,though just couldn't find clear run inside final two furlongs.Once in clear inside final furlong was closing fast all the way to the line ,though just couldn't catch 33-1 outsider Certerach in time failing by neck .

Really frustrating result here CAVALRYMAN was clearly the best horse in the race, though just got no luck in running .What should been profitable race ended with £16.00 loss .

The second bet at Meydan was on Aidan O'Brien trained GIOVANNI BOLDINI in group two UAE Derby over the extended nine furlongs .Having finished good second in Breeders Cup Juvenile turf on his last start  .GIOVANNI BOLDINI looked solid bet at 3-1 .£50.00 each-way @ 3-1 with Betfred was bet placed, plus we had £25.00 each-way double with CAVALRYMAN .

This was very puzzling ride by Ryan Moore, who settled the horse at the rear of the field, though never seem put the horse into the race .Still only ninth turning into the straight, though picked up well in closing stages, finishing a never nearer fourth, getting beat nose for third place.

The winner Toast Of New York won in good style and looks decent sort, though this was poorly judged ride by Moore who never seem give GIOVANNI BOLDINI any chance in the race .

This turned into quite expensive race with the each-way single and each-way double biting the dust with loss of £150.00 on the race

Moving onto Sunday we had interesting card in Ireland at Leopardstown for final bet of the week. The 2000 guineas trial listed race looked interesting race with Aidan O 'Brien trained Indian Maharaja put in favourite, though had question marks having never ran on testing ground and looked worth taking on at short price .

SHINING EMERALD had some decent form last season on testing ground and was 5LB clear on official ratings .£50 each-way @3-1 with Corals looked fair value bet against  short price favourite

In the race SHINING EMERALD came there with every chance and looked the likely winner when putting in strong challenge inside final furlong and traded as short as 1-10 in running ,though could never get past the race fit Go For Goal who held on well in closing stages .£20.00 loss on the race.

No excuses here SHINING EMERALD  ran decent enough race ,though was just beaten by improving rival who had fitness edge. The Aidan O 'Brien trained Indian Maharaja who looked vulnerable was big disappointment finishing well beaten 8th failing to handle the heavy ground .

THE RESULTS :

LOSS £41.00

*Not the greatest month after promising start at the beginning of March, with just two winners from 8 bets for £41.00 loss on the month .

Saying that with better luck March would clearly been profitable month ,we seem get all the bad luck going ,though over the season it will normally even out .

With the Flat turf season now under way, hopefully there will be few more betting opportunities in April .Also looking forward to getting back on the racetrack with Newmarket's Craven meeting on 16th April, my first meeting of the year ,quickly followed by The All Weather championship finals at Lingfield on 18th April .

Sunday 30TH March 2,000 Guineas Trial Stakes Bet !!!

On Sunday we have interesting looking card at Leopardstown ,featuring 1000 & 2000 guineas trial stakes .Going concentrate on 2,000 guineas trial stakes at 3.10 .

3.10 LEOPARDSTOWN 1 MILE 2,000 GUINEAS TRIAL LISTED RACE
10 runners declared for 2,000 guineas trial stakes on ground described as soft to heavy .This looks interesting listed contest .The three main contenders look to be Indian Maharaja ,Ebanoran & Shining Emerald .

INDIAN MAHARAJA : Unbeaten after two starts, winning listed race at Tipperary last time over 7.5 furlongs on good ground .That didn't look the strongest contest and form hasn't really worked out with second well beaten next time in maiden company. However looks open to plenty improvement after two starts and  is leading fancy for the Derby ,though has to prove he can handle testing conditions today .

EBANORAN :Promising debut winning 7 furlong maiden at Curragh in October .Will be suited by this longer trip and has plenty big race entries,Including 2000 guineas and Derby .Not easy to assess that form ,though is open to plenty improvement this season .Unproven on testing ground conditions.

SHINING EMERALD : Won twice last season, including 6 furlong listed race at Curragh in September.Finished fair third in group three at Leopardstown in October behind Craftsman .Longer trip shouldn't be problem and will be suited by testing conditions having won maiden on heavy ground .

VERDICT :The Aidan O 'Brien trained Indian Maharaja will be popular having won both starts ,though will still need show more improvement to win stronger looking listed race .Will probably be suited by further this season and has to prove he can handle testing ground .

SHINING EMERALD is 5lb clear on official ratings and looks solid here having already won in listed company and will relish testing ground conditions.Trainer P.D Deegan has been in great form this year with (9 out 21) 42% strike rate .Odds around 3-1 look fair value .

Saturday 29th March Dubai Gold Cup & UAE Derby Bets

On Saturday we have cracking card from Meydan featuring 8 group races, including the Worlds richest race the six million Dubai World Cup .

With the bookmakers having already priced up all eight races ,there looks couple interesting bets .Going concentrate on two of the lesser races on the card the G2 Dubai Gold Cup & G2 UAE Derby .

1,45 MEYDAN 2 MILE DUBAI GOLD CUP GROUP TWO:
15 runners declared for Dubai Gold Cup over 2 miles .Plenty runners ,though not many strong contenders here .Simenon ,Cavalryman & Joshua Tree look the three main contenders.

SIMENON :Useful stayer on his day ,won twice at Royal Ascot in 2012 .Ran some decent races last season without winning ,including finishing good second behind Estimate in Ascot Gold cup & excellent fourth in Melbourne Cup .Should improve for first run of the season at Meydan ,though has plenty to find with Cavalryman .

CAVALRYMAN : Impressive winner of this race last year, beating Ahzeemah by easy 3 lenghs .Looked better than ever when winning the Nad Al Sheeba Trophy on reappearance at Meydan last time, beating Star Empire by over five lenghs .Obvious claims with conditions to suit.

JOSHUA TREE : Inconsistent sort ,though has some useful  International form ,including winning Canadian International three times at Woodbine. Also finished creditable second in this race in 2012 .Ran respectful sixth over inadequate 10 furlong trip in G1 race last time at Meydan .

VERDICT : CAVALRYMAN stands out here after bolting up last time at Meydan .Won this race last year in great style and should be difficult to beat with ideal conditions .Odds around 11-4 look very fair value .

Of the others Joshua Tree could go well at decent odds, having finished fair second in this race back in 2012 and looks the each-way value at around 9-1.

2.25 MEYDAN 1 MILE 1F 110YDS UAE DERBY GROUP TWO:
12 runners declared for UAE Derby over extended 9 furlongs on the tapeta. The three main contenders are Long John , Giovanni Boldini & Asmar .

LONG JOHN : Useful sort formerly trained in Australia .Impressive winner of UAE 2000 guineas on his first start at Meydan  ,beating the reliable Emirates Flyer by over 4 lenghs .However was disappointing when well beaten over this trip at Moonee Valley, back in October .

GIOVANNI BOLDINI :Improving sort ,Winning twice on poly track at Dundalk over 7 furlongs last season .However ran his best race last time when finishing close second in Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf at Santa Anita in November ,behind the useful Outstrip .Should be suited by this longer trip .

ASMAR :Lightly raced sort ,though big improver last time when winning over C&D in listed race at Meydan .Has plenty to find with Long John on previous form ,though seemed to improve greatly over this longer trip .Can't be ruled out ,though is stepping up in class .

VERDICT : Long John will be popular here after bolting up last time ,though there remains big question mark about this longer trip and looks worth taking on at shortish price .

GIOVANNI BOLDINI looks solid here after finishing excellent second in juvenile mile Breeders Cup turf at Santa Anita back in November .Looks open to plenty more improvement this season and trainer Aidan O' Brien can land the race for the third time .Odds around 3-1 look decent value

Weekly Results Round Up !!!

Another quiet week for the blog, with very few betting opportunities in non handicap All Weather races this week .However with turf season starting next Saturday there should  be plenty betting opportunities over the next few weeks .

Going back to Saturday it turned into frustrating day with the weeks only bet LADIES ARE FOREVER only managing fifth in five furlong listed race at Lingfield after being well supported in the market 9-2 into 3-1 .She did look slightly unlucky there, getting hampered on the bend with two furlongs to run and losing her place, before finishing strongly in closing stages for never nearer fifth .Would certainly finished second with trouble free run, though doubtful she would beat easy winner Stepper Point.

LADIES ARE FOREVER looks one to keep an eye on next time ,especially if returning to 6 furlongs, looks more than capable of picking up another listed or group three race in next few weeks .

The big race on Saturday on was G3 Winter Derby .The short price favorite Grandeur looked the one to beat on form ,though had very poor draw in stall 14 .

Grandeur was rushed up by Ryan Moore from his wide draw ,though was still stuck out four wide and looked in trouble when the race developed .Robins Hood Bay came with strong run down outside to win the race by half a lengh .

Again this was frustrating result as Robins Hood Bay had been each-way bet for the blog last time ,when finishing fourth behind Grandeur in Winter Derby trial back in February.Though he had good  place chance in the race. I must admit just didn't think he would be quite good enough to win the Winter Derby . Nevermind goes down as losing week with £100.00 loss ,though the blog is still showing small profit in March going into final week .

THE RESULTS :

Saturday 22nd March Hever Sprint Listed Stakes Bet !!!

In Saturday we do have very decent looking card from Lingfield featuring the group three Winter Derby, plus two good looking listed races .

A maximum field of fourteen go to post for group three Winter Derby at 3.50.The Jeremy Noseda trained GRANDEUR stands out here on form, having won twice in group two company and was good winner over C&D in winter Derby Trial at Lingfield last month .Looks the one they all have to beat ,though has to overcome poor draw in stall 14.

For days main bet we concentrate on Hever Sprint Listed Stakes at 2.40 .This looks competitive five furlong listed race, with the three main contenders .Addictive Dream , Kingsgate Choice & Ladies Are Forever .

2.40 LINGFIELD 5F HEVER LISTED SPRINT STAKES
ADDICTIVE DREAM : Dual course winner here at Lingfield .Bolted up last time (Making All) over C&D in class two handicap at Lingfield, beating Ubetterbegood by just under three lenghs off mark 98.Has yet to win in listed company ,though looks well drawn in stall three for front runner and could take some pegging back .

KINGSGATE CHOICE :Fair sprinter on his day ,won twice last season on turf, in hot class two handicaps at York and Musselburgh ,though probably ran best race, when finishing close fourth in Flying Five group three at Curragh in September, behind Dutch Masterpiece.Lightly raced on poly track ,though has won over C&D at Lingfield .

LADIES ARE FOREVER :Decent Six year old mare.Goes well here at Lingfield.Bolted up in this race last year, breaking the course record. Also won Group three 6 furlong Summer Stakes at York in July .Slightly disappointing last time on her seasonal reappearance, finishing 6th of 12 at Lingfield behind Tarooq .Should improve for that first run of the season .

VERDICT : Last years winner LADIES ARE FOREVER can bounce back to form and win Hever Sprint for second year running .Has proven record in listed company and can land her fourth listed race .Odds around 4-1 look very fair value .

Kingsgate Choice can go well fresh and looks the main danger on his decent turf form from last season . Having won class two handicap at Musselburgh off mark 104 ,won't need to improve much to win in listed race .
