Weekly Results Round Up !!!

Solid start to the flat turf season with one winner and two places from three bets for +£188.00 /1.88 pt profit on the week.

After having disappointing start to the year on the All Weather ,its good to come back with winning start on the turf .

I found the All Weather racing really tough this winter .Anyone who reads the blog will know my main focus is claiming races, these have always been very profitable races for me on All Weather .

However with the lack of runners and the bad weather this winter, it was struggle finding suitable betting opportunities. Also the few selections I did have never really performed up to the normal standard .

With this in mind I decided to take six week break and wait for the turf season to get fully under way .Hopefully now with the turf season  under way we can have good summer and have some profitable results over next few months.

Going back to last week ,just quick summary of the bets .On Monday the first bet was in 6 furlong apprentice claiming stakes on Dandy Nicholls trained Takealookatmenow £50.00 each-way @ 7-2 .

Well supported in the market going off 11-4 second favourite .This was very straight forward for Takealookatmenow always in control, making all the running and drawing clear to win easily by 4.5 lenghs for £210/2.10 pts profit .

The second bet was at Newmarket on Wednesday in group three 7 furlong Neil Gwyn stakes on Richard Hannon trained Sky Lantern £50.00 win & place @ 7-2 / 1.86

Sky Lantern travelled well and was delivered with well timed run by Richard Hughes, though had no answers to the Henry Cecil trained Hot Snap , who stormed clear inside final furlong .No complaints here just beaten by very Smart looking filly, who is now clear favourite for 1000 guineas .Not much damage with just £12.00 loss on the race .

The final bet of the week was on Friday evening at Bath in 5 furlong fillies listed race on Caledonia Lady £50.00 win & place @ 7-2 / 1.84 .

Caledonia Lady was held up as usual in early stages and made what looked promising run on outside ,though the run seem flatten out inside the last 50 yds and had to settle for third .No real complaints with £10.00 loss on the race .

Overall quite satisfied with £188.00 profit from the first three turf bets this season .There should be plenty betting opportunities coming up over the next few weeks .
