Monthly Results Round / Up !!!

Tuesday's bet on Efistorm in 7 furlong claiming stakes at Lingfield finished second behind the heavily gambled on favorite Spin Again .

Efistorm was big drifter in the market touching as big as 7-1 on betfair, though no match for winner, ran a fair enough race coming from off the pace to finish clear second .No damage done on the race with money back on the each-way bet returning best price guarantee price of 5-1 .

Overall its been steady month with two winners from 5 bets for profit + £157.00 /1.57 .Not massive profit, though from small number of bets a fair return with + 31.57 % return on investment.

Tuesday 29th May Claiming Bet !!!

On Tuesday we have fair looking 7 furlong 0-70 classified claiming stakes on poly track at Lingfield with eight runners declared .

3.20 LINGFIELD 7F CLASSIFIED CLAIMING STAKES 0-70:
Eight runners go to post for 7 furlong claiming stakes at Lingfield .This looks quite unusual claiming race with Conor Dore having four runners in the race .The two to concentrate on here look to be Efistorm & Spin Again .

EFISTORM :Likeable sort who won his 24th race last week in 6 furlong claimer at Windsor.Has already won three times this year and won here at Lingfield over course and distance in handicap back in February.

SPIN AGAIN :Won two 7 furlong handicaps in March at Kempton & Lingfield .Looked unlucky when finishing third behind Efistorm in 6 furlong handicap at Kempton after getting badly hampered.

VERDICT : Spin Again looks well treated at these weights and on 8lb better terms should strictly reverse placings with Efistorm on Kempton form ,though didn't convince when beaten in 7 furlong seller at Wolverhampton earlier last month and needs to bounce back after disappointing run on turf last time at Salisbury .

EFISTORM is in top form having won his last two races and looks good value here at around  3-1 in this claimer .Has decent record in this grade and put in two solid runs here at Lingfield over this trip back in February .

Weekly Results Round / Up !!!

Overall a solid week with one winner from two bets for £77.00 profit .The week started on Monday with Efistorm winning 6 furlong claiming stakes at Windsor at 100-30, though there was 15p rule 4 to all bets after Falasteen had to be withdrawn at the start .

The second bet on Imprimis Tagula in 7 furlong claiming stakes at Lingfield on Wednesday. Not a race that went to plan with three non runners in the race not helping matters.Imprimis Tagula was well supported in the market going off well backed 3-1 chance, though never picked up and could only finish a disappointing fourth and loss of £100.00 on the race.

Looking ahead to next week there don't appear to be many opportunities in claiming races ,though there does look interesting classified claimer at Lingfield on Tuesday .Hopefully we will be back in action then .

THE RESULTS :

ON THE WEEK :
2 BETS ) 1 WINNER ) 1 UNPLACED ) PROFIT +£77.00 / 0.77 PTS

OVERALL AFTER WEEK 21 :
20 BETS ) 8 WINNERS ) 2 SECONDS ) 1 THIRD ) 9 UNPLACED )

Wednesday 23rd Claiming Bet !!!

Good result on Monday evening with Efistorm winning the 6 furlong claiming stakes at Windsor and recording his 24th career victory and his sixth course win at Windsor .

A pity about the 15P rule 4 after Falasteen had to be withdrawn at the start after bursting through the stalls ,though still nice £177.00 / 1.77 profit on the day .

Moving on to Wednesday we have two claiming races at Southwell & Lingfield .No real interest in 1 mile 4 furlong claimer at Southwell were course specialist La Estrella will be very short odds to record his 12th course victory .

Going concentrate on the 7 furlong claiming stakes on poly track at Lingfield .For class 6 race this doesn't look bad little claimer with six course winners in the lineup.

5.00 LINGFIELD 7F CLAIMING STAKES CLASS 6

RED SOMERSET : In great form this winter winning 4 out 4 in selling company .Won 9F handicap at Wolverhampton last time off mark 75 .Should go well if handling this shorter trip .

IMPRIMIS TAGULA :Excellent record on fibresand at Southwell winning 10 times ,though has won twice here at Lingfield ,including winning class 5 handicap over course & distance ealier this month .Has decent record in claiming company .

LEGAL LEGACY : Returned to form winning 1 mile claimer at Lingfield last week for David Griffiths .Makes his debut for John Ryan after being claimed for £6,000 .

VERDICT : Wide open looking claimer with very little to choose between the three main contenders on official handicap ratings.

Red Somerset has been in top form in recent months and has good record in this grade .However there has to be concern over this shorter trip having not won over 7 furlongs since December 2009.At the prices looks bit short at around 11-4

Legal Legacy was winning selection last week at Lingfield when beating one today's rivals Aquilifer in claimer over 1 mile .That looked slightly weaker race ,though does have some solid handicap form here at Lingfield and has to be respected.

IMPRIMIS TAGULA is narrowly preferred after winning handicap over course & distance earlier this month and wasn't disgraced finishing fifth on turf at Newmarket last time .Odds around 5-1 look very fair each-way value .

WEDNESDAY 23RD MAY CLAIMING BET :
IMPRIMIS TAGULA 5.00 LINGFIELD
0.50 PTS WIN @ 5-1
0.50 PTS PLACE @ 2.00
(UNPLACED SP 3-1 LOSS -£100.00 / 1.00)

Monday 21st May Claiming Bet !!!

Busy start to the week with three claiming races on Monday ,though I have no interest in 2 year old claiming race at Redcar which looks an impossible race with half the field making there debut's .

The 12 furlong classified claiming stakes at 2.15 Wolverhampton also looks very tough and   amateur riders races are never easy to predict .

Going concentrate on the 6 furlong claiming stakes at Windsor's evening fixture .8 runners go to post for what looks interesting sprint claimer .

6.10 WINDSOR 6F CLAIMING STAKES CLASS 5 :
Nine runners declared for 6 furlong claiming stakes at Windsor .On official handicap ratings this looks quite competitive race with the four main contenders being  Falasteen ,Efistorm ,Polar Annie & Scarlet Rocks

FALASTEEN : Decent sprint handicapper in 2010/11 winning class 3 handicap at Epsom off mark 85 and finishing second in class 2 handicap at York off mark 92 .Has looked very disappointing on his last two starts in handicap company and now drops into claiming company .

EFISTORM : Prolific winner over the years winning 16 times on turf and has excellent record here at Windsor winning 5 from 8 .Bounced back to form last week winning handicap at Kempton .Goes particularly well for Hayley Turner having won on the horse seven times .

POLAR ANNIE : Front runner who did well in 2011 winning three handicaps at Chepstow, the last win coming over 1 mile .Looks well treated at the weights and will be suited dropping into claiming company for first time .

SCARLET ROCKS : Dual course winner here at Windsor for David Evans, though struggled  after changing stables in October .Now back with David Evans and should improve for her first run of the season.

VERDICT : Falasteen would take plenty beating if reproducing last seasons handicap form ,though taking big drop in class here, has not looked the same horse this season .Looked very disappointing on his last two starts and faces no easy task carrying 9 stone 9lb .

Polar Annie drops into claiming company for first time ,though all her best form has been over 7 furlongs and mile .The drop back to 6 furlongs has to be concern having not won over the distance for nearly 4 years.

Scarlet Rocks should be thereabouts having shown plenty of form here at Windsor in the past and won similar contest over C&D in October, though that was her only win from her last 25 starts.

The veteran EFISTORM is just preferred having such good course record here at Windsor with 5 wins from 8 starts .Has already won twice this season in handicaps at Lingfield & Kempton.Odds around 10-3 look very fair each-way value in 8 runner race

MONDAY 21st MAY CLAIMING BET :

Weekly Results Round / Up

After couple disappointing results recently ,its good to come back with winner this week with Legal Legacy winning 1 mile classified claiming stakes at Lingfield on Wednesday.

Given excellent ride by Kirsty Milczarek coming from last to first to win going away by just under lengh at 3-1 for £180.00 profit .That also puts us back in profit this month .

With ground conditions starting to improve we can now expect to see a lot more betting opportunities in claiming races .Looking ahead to next week we have busy start to the week with three claiming races on Monday. There looks strong possibility of at least one bet on Monday.

THE RESULTS :

ON THE WEEK :
1 BET ) 1 WINNER ) PROFIT +£180.00 /1.80 PTS

Wednesday 16th May Claiming Bet !!!

On Wednesday we have three flat cards with the highlight being the start of the three day York Dante meeting.Just the one claiming race on Wednesday over 1 mile on poly track at Lingfield .

1.50 LINGFIELD 1 MILE CLASSIFIED CLAIMING STAKES CLASS 6 :
8 Runners declared for 1 mile claiming stakes on poly track at Lingfield ,this looks quite competitive little race on official handicap ratings .The three main contenders look to be Aquilifer ,Spinning Ridge & Legal Legacy.

AQUILIFER : Course specialist with all four career wins coming here at Lingfield last year ,hasn't shown great deal on recent starts including in claiming company ,though has to be respected in weak race at his favourite track .

SPINNING RIDGE : Goes well in this grade having already won three claimers this year.Finished fair second last time in 9F claimer at Wolverhampton behind Indian Art.Normally runs his race and should go well in this claimer

LEGAL LEGACY : All five career wins coming on turf ,though has some solid form on poly track finishing second three times this year in handicap company .Best in on official handicap ratings and should go well in this claimer.

VERDICT :  Aquilifer has some good form here at Lingfield ,though has shown very little this year and will need to bounce back after two very disappointing runs .

Spinning Ridge has to be respected in this grade with his last three wins coming in claiming company and ran very respectable second last time at Wolverhampton and looks the main danger

LEGAL LEGACY was slightly disappointing in handicap on fibresand at Southwell last time ,though will be suited dropping into claiming company for first time and would take plenty of beating if reproducing last months run, when beaten 4 lenghs by Penitent in Listed race at Doncaster.Odds around 3-1 look fair each-way value in 8 runner race.

WEDNESDAY'S CLAIMING BET:
LEGAL LEGACY 1.50 LINGFIELD
0.50PTS EACH-WAY @ 3-1 LADBROKES*,BET365*

Weekly Results Round / Up

Another quiet start to the month with very few betting opportunities in the claiming races. The wet weather hasn't helped matters with so many non runners and field sizes have been very small in the claimers.

On Tuesday we did finally have bet, the first bet for over three weeks in 12 furlong claiming stakes at Catterick's evening fixture .

Hidden Glory looked fair each-way bet after finishing fourth on his previous start in better race at Nottingham and appeared to have conditions in his favour ,though ran absolute stinker finishing tailed off last beaten over 72 lenghs .

Hard to explain why they decided to make the running with horse ,having always come off the pace in his previous races . All the same a very disappointing performance and £100.00 loss on the race .

Looking ahead to latter in the week there looks couple possible betting opportunities in the claimers at Lingfield on Wednesday & Salisbury on Thursday .Hopefully we will be in action sometime this week.

THE RESULTS :

ON THE WEEK :
1 BET ) 0 WINNERS ) 1 UNPLACED ) LOSS £100.00 / 1.00 PT

OVERALL AFTER WEEK 19 :
17 BETS ) 6 WINNERS ) 2 SECONDS ) 1 THIRD ) 8 UNPLACED )
PROFIT + £1230 / 12.30 PTS

RETURN ON INVESTMENT 2012 :
STAKED £2350 / 23.50 PTS ) RETURN £3580 / 35.80 PTS ) ROI + 52.43 )

Tuesday's 8th May Claiming Bet !!

On Tuesday we have quite interesting looking claiming race at Catterick's evening meeting over 12 furlongs with 8 runners declared at 6.40

This looks quite open looking race though there are question marks about most of the runners the favourite in the race Dontpaytheferryman has some fair form over hurdles ,though has very poor record on flat turf 0 from 7 an looks worth taking on at around 5-2 .

Flying Applause is best in on official handicap ratings and has been in good form this season ,already winning 3 times ,though there has to be big concern over this longer trip having shown all his best form over 1 mile.

Course specialist Eijaaz has to be respected having won 7 times here at Catterick and has great record in claiming company ,though this will be his first run of the season and all his best form has been faster ground with his last 7 wins coming on good or faster.

With doubts about his main rivals HIDDEN GLORY looks the one to be with here after finishing fair 4th in handicap at Nottingham last time and was good winner of 10 furlong handicap at Nottingham last November .Will be suited dropping into claiming company for first time and ground conditions will also suit .

TUESDAY'S CLAIMING BET:

HIDDEN GLORY 6.40 CATTERICK
0.50 PT EACH-WAY @ 7-2 LADBROKES*,PADDYPOWER*,HILLS*
(RESULT UNPLACED SP 9-2 LOSS -£100 / 1.00 PTS)
