Sitting out Saturday !!!

Plenty racing on Saturday with five flat cards and Jump fans have the Scottish Grand National meeting at Ayr .

Newbury stage very decent card featuring three group 3 races ,including the reappearance of 2000 guineas favourite Frankel in Greenham stakes ,though Newbury have top quality card featuring plenty good races , including some very interesting maiden races later on the card ,though just couldn't find any suitable betting opportunities .

One of them Saturdays plenty racing ,though very difficult to find any good quality betting opportunities ,so it will just be watching brief for me on Saturday.

Newmarket Craven Meeting !!!

Wednesday see's the start of the Newmarket's Craven meeting ,will be travelling down too Newmarket early Wednesday morning from sunny Lowestoft.

Looking forward to what looks decent card with the highlight being the group three Nell Gwyn stakes at 4.10 ,though this looks quite open race with Maqaasid ,Elshabakiya and Ladies Are Forever all having decent chances.Going concentrate on 6 furlong Tattersalls Millions 3-Y-0 Sprint Newmarket 3.00

6F TATTERSALLS SPRINT CLASS 2 NEWMARKET 3.00
KHOR SHEED :Won twice last season both over 6 furlongs at Newmarket ,including winning listed race on July course in June & Sales race over C&D in September .Also finished decent third in Sweet Solera stakes behind the useful White Moonstone over 7 furlongs at Newmarket .Will be suited by this drop in class.

VERDICT : Neebras looks the main danger on last years second behind Librano in Group two July stakes at Newmarket ,though hasn't ran since last July .KHOR SHEED had some decent form in better races last season, looks to have ideal conditions 6 furlongs on fast ground .7-2 looks fair price.

Another frustrating day !!!

Tuesdays bet on Praxios could only finish third in 9 furlong maiden stakes at Wolverhampton ,though more frustrating was Valdaw being non runner in the race leaving only seven runners.

That can be problem placing each-way bets with bookmakers in 8 runner races, with always the possibility of non runners and not getting paid for third place, though the place odds would been lot shorter with betfair you always get paid out on that third place.Instead of  £50.00 loss ,it ended up very disappointing day losing £200.00

Been frustrating run of results since early March with only two winners from 10 bets ,though six have been placed .Don't think the selections have been that bad, most of the bets have ran well without winning which does happen over the season, just need a change of luck, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Tuesdays best bets !!

Three flat cards on Tuesday the only turf card at Folkestone looks complete waste of time with very few runners ,though hardly a surprise with such low prize money on offer , going concentrate on the 1 mile 1 furlong maiden stakes at Wolverhampton.

1 MILE 1F 103YDS CLASS 6 MAIDEN STAKES WOLVERHAMPTON 4.20
PRAXIOS : Promising run in 8.6 furlong maiden at Wolverhampton back in November , staying on well to finish never nearer second after getting outpaced in early stages behind the Michael Jarvis trained Boogie Shoes, that looks fair form with the winner rated 82 .Looks open to plenty improvement stepping up in trip.

VERDICT :  Barry Hills trained Fadhaa made promising debut back in October finishing 6TH of 18 in fair maiden at Doncaster over 7 furlongs .Looks open to plenty improvement over this longer trip, though with trainer Barry Hills not being in the best form 0 from 14 in April, looks too short in market at around 11-8 mark.

PRAXIOS has solid maiden form at Wolverhampton and should improve over this longer trip being half brother too Presvis. At around 7-2 looks fair value.

Weekly results / round up !!

Another very quiet week with just the one bet on Wednesday at Beverley with Dabbers Ridge finishing third in 1 mile selling stakes .Very limited betting opportunities on the flat this week ,which had to be expected with the main focus on Aintree's Grand National meeting. Small loss on the week -£34.00 / 0.34 pts

The flat season finally kicks into gear next week with some top quality action starting with the two day Craven meeting at Newmarket on Wednesday & Thursday followed by the Dubai Duty Free two day fixture at Newbury on Friday & Saturday.Hopefully we will have a few more suitable betting opportunities next week.
