No bets on Thursday

Not much has happened so far this week ,no bet on Wednesday after SOHCAHTOA never reached 5-2 not helped by 2 non runners in the race.In the race itself SOHCAHTOA had ding dong battle all the way to line just getting pipped by 10-1 shot State Visit

Thursday see's the start of the three day Newmarket Cambridgeshire meeting ,though nothing really appeals there today, and the other three flat cards look very tricky. So its blank day on Thursday.Though Newmarket stages an excellent card on Friday including two group one races.

Wednesdays best bets

No real excuses for DINGAAN was in perfect position and had every chance with two furlong's to go, though just not quite good enough getting beat neck into second place in very close finish ,loss of £38.00 / 0.38 pts.

Wednesday we have four flat cards , Salisbury,Newcastle,Nottingham,Kempton ,though plenty rain forecast tomorrow so ground conditions are going to be quite testing .

Going to concentrate on the 1 mile 2 furlong claiming stakes at Salisbury.run at 3.40

1 MILE 2F CLAIMING STAKES CLASS 5 SALISBURY 3.40

SOHCAHTOA :Hasn't won for over two years ,though has some decent form in good handicaps this season ,finished second at Doncaster & Newmarket earlier in season in class 2 & 3 handicaps, also ran good third in class 3 claimer at York earlier this month , takes big drop in class here into class 5 claimer,Richard Hannon has good record in claimers (8 from 30) this season .

DANGER :INDIAN VALLEY very consistent  3-Y-0,won claimer last time at Yarmouth over 1 MILE on soft ground beating Strike a Deal by 2.5 lenghs, looks well weighted in this claimer off  8 stone 3lb,though has to prove he stays 1 mile 2 furlongs.

VERDICT :SOHCAHTOA should go well here taking big drop in class  ,proven over distance and handles any ground , INDIAN VALLEY looks big danger of his low weight ,though has to prove her stamina over this trip.

Tuesday's best bets

No bet on Monday with EL MANSOUR price a lot shorter than expected, 2-1 being best price available all day ,Going off very short 6-4 favourite. I was very surprised that he was backed so much with the Michael Stoute runner Kinyras in the race, who's runners are normally well supported, though not so on this occasion .

In the race itself  EL MANSOUR travelled well in Second place and looked the likely winner with 2 furlongs to run though in the end was just denied in very close finish, finishing third beaten short head & nose by the newcomer Marhaba Malyoon.

On to Tuesdays racing just the two flat cards Newbury & Brighton ,Newbury's meeting is of no interest to me, full of big field Handicaps and maiden races that look very difficult.Brighton's never been one my favourite tracks though there does look quite interesting claiming stakes at 4.30 .

7F CLAIMING STAKES CLASS 5 BRIGHTON 4.30

DINGAAN :Useful performer on his day ,good winner of 1 mile claimer at Sandown  back in July beating Carcinetto by 3 Lenghs ,unsuited by slow pace last time in 7 furlong claimer at Wolverhampton, when finishing close third. Looks well treated at these weights and should go well.

DANGER :TIMETEAM consistent sort with proven record in this grade ,won seller over course/distance last time, looks the main danger to DINGAAN

VERDICT : DINGAAN stands out on form ,has proven record in better quality races, and should get the fast pace he needs .Looking for minimum price of 5-2

Mondays best bets

Three flat cards on Monday ,Bath ,Kempton ,Ffos Las , No interest at Ffos Las or Kempton ,though there
looks quite interesting 1 mile 2 furlong  2-Y-0 maiden at Bath.

1 MILE 2 FURLONG 2-Y-0 MAIDEN STAKES BATH 3.30

EL MANSOUR :Steadily improving since stepping up in trip, good second last time in quite decent 1 mile 1 furlong class 4 nursery handicap at Newmarket behind the John Gosden trained Liberty Cap,didn't get the clearest of runs there after getting stuck on the rails, though stayed on well inside the final furlong to finish second, should be suited by step up to 1 mile 2 furlongs.Clive Cox stable in good form.

DANGER ; KINYRAS made promising debut back in July ,in maiden at Sandown over 7 furlongs staying on well  ,the step up too 1 mile 2 furlongs should suit this well bred colt ,and looks open too plenty of improvement over this longer trip.

VERDICT ; EL MANSOUR second last time in handicap at Newmarket is best form on offer here ,and appears to have only the Michael Stoute trained KINYRAS to beat.Michael Stoute runners always seem start short prices in these type maiden races, any prices of 5-2 or bigger for EL MANSOUR would be fair value.

Summary of the weeks bets

Its been another good  week with just the(4 BETS) (3 WINNERS)
(6-1,4-1,3-1) and the other bet finished close second at 5-1.
PROFIT £780/ 7.80 PTS on the week .

That makes it  4 winning weeks in row and very pleased with the consistency of the bets in September.
In total that's (15 BETS )(7 WINNERS) (5 SECONDS)
(2 THIRDS) (1 FORTH)

The first bet of the week  was on the Tuesday ,NERVES OF STEEL at Folkestone in 9 furlong maiden , £50 each /way at 5-1 was the bet with Paddy Power best odds guarantee ,Jamie Spencer had this well placed throughout in second place and looked the likely winner when taking up running with 1 furlong to go though could not hold on and was caught near the finish by Michael Stoute newcomer Mondun who landed huge gamble 3-1 into 8-11.Profit level

The second bet was on Wednesday ,FREMEN at Redcar in 1 MILE claiming stakes,£50 e-way at 9-2 with BET365 best odds guarantee ,for some reason this horse drifted out too 6-1just before the off  ,which looked massive price for horse that had won 7 times this season.FREMEN always travelled well in the race just behind the leaders and led over 1 furlong out and drew clear to win by easy 3 lenghs ,for nice profit of £360.

The third bet of week was on Thursday at Wolverhampton's evening meeting  ,TAKEAWAY in 7 furlong    2-Y-0 claiming stakes £50 each/way at 4-1 with BET365 was the bet ,this was very well backed all day going off very short 6-4 shot.In the race itself Richard Hughes had him in behind the leaders early on then pulled him to outside turning for home, and came though to lead inside the final furlong for hard-fought victory.£240 profit

Final bet of the week was at Ascot on Friday ,POLLY'S MARK £50 each/way at 3-1 with BET365 in 1 mile 4 furlong fillies and mares listed race.plenty rain had fallen in morning which was in POLLY'S MARK favour and she was well backed going off the 5-2 second favourite. In the race itself Richard Hughes always had her in good position in forth place ,she took up the running inside the final furlong ,though the favourite Ferdos was finishing very strongly on outside though was hanging badly left ,it ended up very close photo finish ,luckily for me POLLY'S MARK got the verdict by nose .With £180 profit and very good week.

Saturday watching brief

Excellent week so far with POLLY'S MARK winning the listed race at Ascot  ,making it 3 winners from 4 bets this week, though it was such close call, just holding on by the shortest of margins a nose, for £180/ 1.80 pt profit on the day.To be honest POLLY'S MARK was probably bit fortunate to win the race, Ferdoos would clearly won the race had she not hung so badly in home straight.

On too Saturdays racing we have four flat cards, Ascot stages a of top quality card  ,including two group 1 races the feature race being Queen Elizabeth II stakes, though with so much rain about on Friday its going be quite difficult day finding decent betting opportunities ,so its just watching brief for me on Saturday.

Fridays best bets

Another good day on Thursday with TAKEAWAY winning the claiming stakes and landing big gamble 4-1 into 6-4 for £240 / 2.40 pt profit on the day .

Friday we have three cards including  the start of the three day Ascot festival ,going concentrate on best race of the day at Ascot  1 mile 4f  fillies and mares listed race.

1 MILE 4F FILLIES & MARES LISTED RACE ASCOT 3.45

POLLY'S MARK :Very consistent filly won three times last season including over course/ distance, and finished 2ND in this race last year only beaten short head ,hasn't managed to win this season though has finished 2ND three times in top company, (twice in group company) ,the drop back to 1 mile 4 furlongs will also suit, should go well back in  listed company.

DANGER ;FERDOOS looks the main danger, after winning both her starts easily, won class 3 handicap by 6 lenghs last time at Ffos Las ,looks open to plenty of improvement after only two starts, though she will need to improve to win listed contest

VERDICT :POLLY'S MARK has lot in her favour here, proven in listed company ,handles any ground  and 1 Mile 4 looks ideal , should go well for in form Richard Hughes. 3-1 Looks very fair price.

Thursdays best bets

Great result on Wednesday with FREMEN winning the claimer very easily at very generous price of 6-1 for £360 / 3.60 pts profit.Incredible performance by the 10 year old winning his 8th race of the season and his 19th career victory.

Thursday we just have the two flat meetings Pontefract & Wolverhampton, not great deal of quality on offer though we do have quite interesting 2 year old claiming race at Wolverhampton's evening meeting.

7F 2-Y-0 CLAIMING STAKES CLASS 5 WOLVERHAMPTON 5.30

TAKEAWAY : Consistent type ,ran fair third over course distance last time in quite decent 2 year old claimer behind Malice or Mischief and Daas Rite ,trying to concede lumps of weight all round, 16LB to winner & 19 LB to second, that form has since been boosted by second (Daas Rite) winning claimer next time and finishing close 3RD in class 2 handicap.Richard Hannon has good record with his 2 year old's at Wolverhampton this season 3 out 4 & Richard Hughes takes the ride.

DANGER : WATER ICE should also go well, easy winner over course/ distance in handicap back in July ,has disappointed on turf in handicap company on her last two starts ,though the return to Wolverhampton poly track will suit better.

VERDICT :TAKEAWAY faced very difficult task last time over course/distance trying to concede lumps of weight all round ,looks better treated at weights in this claimer only conceding 5LB to his main two rivals ,should go well for Hannon and Hughes

Wednesdays best bets

No complaints with NERVES OF STEEL finishing 2ND , ran fine race and looked the likely winner when leading inside final furlong ,though just unable to hold on getting caught by the Michael Stoute newcomer Modun who landed big gamble from 3-1 into 8-11.No damage done there with money back.

On to Wednesday's racing three flat cards Goowood,Redcar and Kempton ,just going concentrate on one race at Redcar 1 mile claimer at 4.00

1 MILE CLAIMING STAKES CLASS 5 REDCAR 4.00

FREMEN :Excellent record in claimers and sellers over the past two seasons, made it win number seven  for season last time in 1 mile 1 furlong claimer at Musselburgh beating King of the Moors by 1.5 lenghs .Strictly on the form book has bit to find Sunnyside Tom ,who beat him 6 lenghs in claimer at Beverley at the end of August, though Fremen never got the run of the race that day, having to race very wide throughout and did well to finish 2ND in circumstances. Looks well treated at the weights and should go well.

DANGER : SUNNYSIDE TOM looks the obvious danger after winning 4 claimers this season ,though was disappointing last time finishing well beaten 6TH in claimer at York .

VERDICT; FREMEN & SUNNYSIDE TOM look the two to concentrate on here both proven in this grade ,though with SUNNYSIDE TOM running well below form last time,FREMEN looks the value bet at around 4-1.

Tuesday's best bets

Tuesday we have just the two flat cards, Beverley stage the better quality racing with quite good looking conditions race at 3.30.

The Dandy Nicholls trained Tax Free should be difficult to beat here, taking big drop in class after finishing good second behind Astrophysical Jet in group 3 contest at the Curragh last time, though going to be quite short price around the 6-5 mark, and last years winner Captain Dunne looks bit of danger, interesting race but not betting race for me.

For the days only bet we go down south to Folkestone, and quite interesting 1 Mile 1 furlong maiden race at  4.30.

1 MILE 1F 149YDS 3-Y-0+ MAIDEN CLASS 5 FOLKESTONE 4.50

NERVES OF STEEL:Promising second on Debut over course/distance at Folkestone, behind Doon kalal ,beaten 3.75 lenghs that form has been boosted with 3RD & 5TH  from that race both winning next time.Finished 4TH last time at Goodwood in 1 Mile 2F maiden race behind the M.Stoute trained Longliner ,would been closer there but was badly impeded inside the final furlong .Has to reverse form with likely favourite Santosa though without that interference there would been very little between the pair.

DANGER ; SANTOSA looks big danger after showing plenty improvement on her second start last time at Goodwood Henry Cecil stable remains in good form.though looks very short price here at around 5-4

VERDICT: NERVES OF STEEL & SANTOSA look closely matched on Goodwood form and should be close between the pair,at the prices NERVES OF STEEL looks much better value at around 4-1 mark.

Mundane Monday

Typical start to the week with three ordinary cards  ,Hamilton,Leicester and Kempton ,not great deal to get excited about with plenty tricky handicaps and quite few 2-Y-0 maiden races. No bets on Monday.

With just seven weeks of flat turf season left, the racing now tends to get lot more tricky ,especially with ground conditions changing from day to day,I will need to be lot more selective with the bets and pick and choose the right races a lot more carefully.

Summary of the weeks bets

Excellent finish to the week with VESUVE landing a nice gamble 7-2 into 2-1 for £437 / 4.37 pts profit ,Just the three each / way  bets on the week with £329 / 3.29 pts profit .( Winner 7-2) (Third 9-2) (forth 6-1)

Good to keep the good run going in September with the third winning week in row ,very pleased with the consistency of the bets so far this month.11 BETS, 4 WINNERS, 4 SECONDS ,2 THIRDS.

The first bet of week was on Tuesday in 1 Mile 2 Furlong claiming race at Lingfield ,SAMARINDA
£50 each/ way at 6-1 and was very supported into 7-2, though could only manage 4TH after trying to make all the running ,loss there of -£100.

The next bet was not till the Friday, THE THRILL IS GONE in 5 Furlong listed race for 2 year old's at Ayr £75 each/ way at early price 9-2 this was also very well backed going off 5-2 second favourite ,though she never really looked like winning and was quite well beaten third ,only small loss there -£8.00

The final bet of the week on Saturday was VESUVE in 1 Mile 2 Furlong listed race at Ayr,£100 each /way at 7-2 and there was plenty money for the Godolphin runner going of 2-1 second favourite.
Frankie Dettori always had VESUVE in good position  just tracking the favourite Kings Gambit and took up the running over 1 Furlong out ,and battled all the way to line to win by neck, for nice +£437 profit.

Saturdays best bets

Very small loss on Friday £8.00 / -0.08 PTS  after THE THRILL IS GONE finished third, and was Subject to quite big gamble 9-2 into 5-2, though never really looked like winning and was quite well beaten in the end by 8-1 winner Arctic Feeling .

Another busy Saturday with five cards as normal the racing looks very competitive, Ayr stage the big race of the day, The William Hill Ayr Gold Cup with maximum 27 runner Field and sprint king Dandy Nicholls bids to win for 6TH time in 11 Years.

Though for my only bet of the day ,I will be looking at far less competitive race at Ayr  the 1 Mile 2F Doonside Cup listed contest .

1 MILE 2F DOONSIDE CUP LISTED RACE AYR 4.30
VESUVE :Former E.Lellouche trained French colt ,won small conditions race at Newmarket at end of July beating Smokey Oakey by 4 Lenghs,Ran good 4TH last time in group 3 contest at York over 9 furlongs behind stable mate Rio De La Plato staying on well towards finish after getting outpaced .will be well suited by the return to 1 mile 2F( stays further) and can reverse form with likely favourite Kings Gambit over this longer trip.

DANGER :KIRKLEES had some very decent form last season winning 4 times including group 2 contest at York ,though hasn't ran since finishing unplaced in Caufield cup in Australia last October, would take all the beating if he returns to that York form, though Frankie Dettori who has won on him 7 times has elected to ride his race fit stable companion  VESUVE.

VERDICT:VESUE looks open to plenty improvement returning to 1 mile 2F for first time this season and can reverse form with Kings Gambit over this longer trip and looks good value at 7-2.Stablemate KIRKLEES rates the big danger if returning fit after 336 days lay off.

Fridays best bets

Some decent racing on Friday with four cards, Newbury ,Newmarket,Ayr,Wolverhampton.,though Newbury stage the best quality card ,I'm going concentrate on the 2-Y-0, 5 furlong listed race at Ayr.

5 FURLONG 2-Y-0 LISTED RACE AYR 3.55
THE THRILL IS GONE: Speedy filly been running well in top company ,finished very good 5th    last time in group two Flying Childers at Doncaster only beaten 2 Lenghs by Zebedee.also ran  good 3RD at Newbury in 5 furlong  listed race behind Electric Waves in August. This doesn't look the strongest of listed races and should go well for Mick Channon.

DANGER :KRYPTON FACTOR looks the big danger ,winning 5 times from 8 starts and still looks on the upgrade ,though is up in class here and faces his stiffest task to date.

VERDICT ;THE THRILL IS GONE has proven form in this grade and has looks sure to run her race from decent draw in stall 8.KRYPTON FACTOR looks the danger though looks very short price at 6-4 for horse running in listed company for first time.At the prices THE THRILL IS GONE looks the value bet at around 7-2.

Another quiet day

Four cards on Thursday at Yarmouth,Pontefract,Ayr and Wolverhampton, the racing looks very competitive with plenty big field handicaps.

So far its been very quiet week with only the one bet ,and again Thursday will be another blank day for me,though just have to stay patient and wait for the right races to come along.Fridays racing looks lot more promising with very decent card at Newbury.

Wednesday, September 15, 2010

Nothing on Wednesday

Slightly disappointing run from SAMARINDA after being very well supported  6-1 into 7-2 , no real excuses tried make all running and with 2 furlongs to run had good lead but weakened inside final furlong and could only manage 4TH, loss of £100 / 1.00 point.

Four fair quality cards on Wednesday ,including two listed races .though nothing really stands out so will be sitting out Wednesday.

Tuesday, September 14, 2010

Tuesday's best bets

Three average meetings on Tuesday ,Lingfield ,Yarmouth,Haydock,my local track Yarmouth stage there feature meeting of the season ,three day eastern festival, though the races there look very difficult on Tuesday .Just the one race of interest the 1 mile 2F claiming race at Lingfield Park.

1 MILE 2F CLASS 6 CLAIMER 3.20 LINGFIELD
SAMARINDA : Course specialist who goes well at Lingfield winning four times and twice over course/distance ,below form on last two starts in lot better company, won claimer over 7 Furlongs back in May,Making all beating Orchard Supreme by 2 lenghs.Drop back into class 6 claiming company sure to suit and should go well.

DANGER LANG SHINING looks the main danger ,has decent record in claimers on turf 4 from 7 ,unproven on poly track and not the most straight forward has to be delivered late as possible.though goes well in this grade.

VERDICT : SAMARINDA, proven in better quality races, good record on poly track ( 8 wins)
1 out 1 in claiming company and has already beaten likely favourite Orchard Supreme this season, looks well treated at the weights . 4-1 or bigger would be decent value.

Watching brief on Sunday

We have some top quality racing in France and Ireland this afternoon in France its Arc trials day at Longchamp, the feature race being group one Prix Vermeille this looks fascinating contest between Sariska ,midday and sarfina ,all eyes will be on sariska after she refused to race last time at York.

In Ireland the Curragh also stage decent card with three group races, the feature race being the group two Blanford stakes, this race looks wide open with Elenora Duse,Aviate,Obama Rule,She's our mark , all having decent chances. No bets for me on Sunday, though will be watching with plenty interest.

Saturday, September 11, 2010

St Leger day

Another decent day on Friday with BILKO PAK winning nicely at 7-2 for £210 / 2.10 pts profit ,given an excellent ride by Richard Hughes coming from well of the pace to win comfortably.

We have two St Legers on Saturday at Doncaster and the Curragh. At Doncaster REWILDING will take plenty of beating after finishing third in Epsom  Derby in June ,then went on to win Great Voltiguer at York by very easy 4 Lenghs , though looks very short price now at around 5-4 and does still have to prove he will stay 1 Mile 6 furlongs.

At Curragh we have the Irish St Leger this race is open to older horses and 4-Y-0 SANS FRONTIERES looks quite interesting runner after winning the Geoffrey Freer stakes at Newbury last time.

Plenty top quality racing on Saturday ,though after going through all six cards on Friday night , I just couldn't come up with any decent value bet .and with the uncertainty with the weather , plenty rain forecast overnight ,I have decided not to get involved in any bets on Saturday.

Blank Wednesday

Not getting too much luck at minute with  Mondays only bet DREAM OF FORTUNE just getting beat by neck in close finish at 7-2,with small loss on the day -£22.00/0.22pts.

Its been bit frustrating run, with last four bets all finishing second ,though no damage been done with all four landing the each/way part of the bet.

On to Wednesday we see the start of the four day ST LEGER meeting at Doncaster, though day one doesn't look that good with plenty of competitive races and nothing really appeals its going to be blank day on betting front.

Tuesday's best bets

Small loss on Monday with MOTTLEY CREWE finishing second and loss (0.20 points/ - £20.00)

Heavy overnight rain is forecast on Monday night, and we can expect softish  ground just about everywhere on Tuesday if the weathermen are correct.

We have two flat cards again on Tuesday at Goodwood & Lingfield ,and with all this rain forecast its going be quite difficult day for betting. Lingfield stage mixed card with last three races run on poly track and 1 mile 2F selling race run at 5.05 looks quite interesting contest.

1 MILE 2F SELLING STAKES CLASS 6 LINGFIELD 5.05

DREAM OF FORTUNE:Dual C/D winner ,who has decent record on poly track for horse in this grade, 6 wins from 28 races.won over C/D in July beating Domino dancer by 0.75 lenghs in selling stakes, ran fair 4TH last time in better race, class 5 handicap at kempton  ,drops back into selling company and should go well.

DANGER:DOMINO DANCER looks big danger after finishing just behind DREAM OF FORTUNE last time over C/D and is now 6LB better off ,has since finished 3RD over hurdles, should be close between the pair

VERDICT:Dual C/D winner DREAM OF FORTUNE can confirm the form with Domino Dancing on 6LB worse terms all 6 wins have been on poly track ,and at likely prices looks the better value.Looking for 3-1 or bigger.

Mondays best bets

Just the two flat meetings to work with on Monday, Newcastle & Bath ,both very low on quality ,just the one race of interest at Newcastle the 5 furlong maiden race at 3.20

5F MAIDEN RACE CLASS 5  3YO + NEWCASTLE 3.20

MOTTLEY CREWE :Consistent type, running well in sprint handicaps finishing second at Hamilton and Haydock over 6 furlongs ,drop back to this stiff 5 furlongs may well suit better(half brother Ishetoo multiple 5 furlong winner & related to numerous 5 furlong winners), maiden races don't come much weaker than this, stable also in good form.

DANGER:ERFAAN looks the possible danger if repeating his 4TH of 10  in 6 furlong maiden at Doncaster and has the highest BHA rating 68, though bit of worry not been seen on course for over 3 months and  trainer Julie Camacho has only had 2 winners from 36 runners in last 3 months.

VERDICT:MOTTLEY CREWE has been very consistent in Handicaps and this maiden looks very weak race ,though with horses rated this low stakes have to be kept on low side.looking for 3-1 or bigger.

Both bets on Saturday finished Second,no real complaints both ran decent races without coming that close to winning.Small loss on the day (-£27.00) (-0.27 pts)

With just the one flat meeting on Sunday at York which looks ultra competitive , with 5 big field handicaps,we will be giving that meeting a big miss.

I'm quite pleased how the weeks gone nothing spectacular but solid winning week.
With just the 4 BETS (1 WINNER)(3 PLACES)
 (£+333 PROFIT ) (+ 3.33 PTS)

Saturdays best bets

Plenty top quality racing on Saturday with 6 meetings the feature races being Irish champion stakes at Leopardstown & Betfred sprint cup at Haydock

Though going concentrate on two other races the 1 mile listed contest at Haydock and 1 mile 4 selling race at Wolverhamptons evening meeting.

1 MILE LISTED RACE HAYDOCK 2.00

SECRECY :Very consistent 4-Y-0 never been out first three in 8 starts winning 3 times ,good winner of condition race last time at Kempton  beating his stable mate Sirocco Breeze by 1.25 lenghs, though probably ran his best race when 3rd only beaten 0.75 lenghs by Sea Lord in group 3 contest at Salisbury in August ,that form looks strong with 2nd in that race Poets Voice going on to win next time in group 2 race at Goodwood.stable also in top form

DANGER: Improving 3-Y-0 DESERT MYTH looks the main danger after running good second in listed race over 1 mile at Goodwood last time only beaten head behind Critical Moment.

VERDICT:SECRECY has never ran bad race and that third at Salisbury in group 3 race behind Sea Lord looks strong form, still improving looks sure to win more races, any prices 11-4 or bigger would be value bet.

1 MILE 4 SELLING STAKES CLASS 6 WOLVERHAMPTON 6.50

INTO THE LIGHT:Still maiden after 14 starts ,though has ran some decent races at Wolverhampton in better company finishing 2nd twice in class 5 handicaps ,back to form last time in handicap at Beverley again finishing 2nd of mark 63 ,takes drop in class here into selling company for first time ,stable in red hot form.

DANGER:HYPNOTIC GAZE looks the big danger if reproducing his C/D win at Wolverhampton back in July when winning handicap by 7 lenghs of mark 65,though was disappointing last time on turf at Yarmouth when well beaten 4th over 1 mile 6f.

VERDICT :INTO THE LIGHT takes drop in class here and has plenty form good enough to win a weak selling race.looking for 3-1 or  bigger.

SATURDAYS BETS:

Nothing on Friday

Small loss on Thursday after TAKEAWAY could only finish third Behind easy winner MALICE OR MISCHIEF in hindsight TAKEAWAY probably faced difficult task trying to carry 9 stone 12lb and concede 16lb to that rival ,though not to disappointed with just 0.40 pt loss on the race

Racing on Friday looks extremely poor with four very moderate cards and in particular Brighton & Lingfield these cards look absolutely dire, you would think these courses could put on some better quality on a Friday ??

At least Saturday we do have some real quality racing including three grade one races,Hayock ,Kempton & Leopardstown all stage decent looking cards.

Ready to go

Its good to be back, though after studying horse racing non stop 7 days week since last November, it was good to take short break.

Its September already with just over two months of turf flat season left ,though still plenty big races to come over the next 10 weeks, including some very decent racing this weekend at Haydock & Leopardstown.

On to Wednesdays racing we have four low grade cards, Kempton's evening meeting looks the best card on offer with interesting claiming race.

1 MILE 3-Y-0 CLAIMER CLASS 6 KEMPTON 7.50

SABATINI :Fair record on poly track (11224) ,won twice as 2-Y-0 last season over 6F ,including in class 4 handicap at Lingfield of mark 75 ,unlucky in running in 1 mile claimer last time at Lingfield (would finished 2ND with clear run) looks well weighted in this claimer of 8 stone 6lb. K.Fallon takes the ride for first time.

DANGERS: LEAN MACHINE would be big danger for R.Hannon on his 2-Y-0 form finishing second three times in fair maidens twice at Newmarket ,though shown next to nothing in three handicap races  this season, now takes big drop in class.WISE UP  lightly raced maiden, formerly trained by B.Hills, fair third last time here at Kempton over 7F  behind Spanish Island ,open to improvement.

VERDICT: Sabatini looks well suited to poly track is consistent type, and has winning form in better grade.K.Fallon looks very positive jockey booking for this small stable.Any prices of 3-1 or bigger looks worth wager.

SABATINI : (7.50 KEMPTON) 1PT E-WAY/ £100 E-WAY @ 10/3 BET365
(WINNER  10/3) PROFIT + £400.00

With two non runners red skies & rainsborough leaving 8 runners 10/3 seems very fair price,
unfortunately K.Fallon has the flu and has given up all his rides today,Chris Catlin will now take the ride not bad replacement.
