World Cup bets, day two

Good start to World cup yesterday landing SOUTH AFRICA v MEXICO correct score 1-1 at 6-1 for 5PT profit.Three matches today including the big game tonight England v U.S.A.

The first game REP OF KOREA v GREECE looks very difficult game to call ,so will be leaving that match.

ARGENTINA v NIGERIA this should be win for ARGENTINA who look to be to strong for Nigeria, though I think it may be closer than many people think.Correct score 2-0,2-1

ENGLAND v U.S.A on paper this should be comfortable win for England though U.S.A are no mugs and will give England tough match, interesting stat U.S.A have scored in all 18 World cup qualifying matches.England have conceded in 8 of there last 10 matches.Correct score 2-1,3-1

TODAY'S BETS:

ARGENTINA V NIGERIA CORRECT SCORE
(2-0) 1PT AT 6-1 BETFAIR
(2-1) 1PT AT 9-1 BETFAIR

ENGLAND V U.S.A CORRECT SCORE
(2-1)1PT AT 9-1 BETFAIR

Saturdays best bets

Five flat cards, though can't remember worse Saturday this year for racing ,the best race being listed race at Sandown, the rest of races mainly consist of huge field handicaps that look impossible .With Royal Ascot only three days away I guess its no surprise the quality is so poor and  will be giving racing big swerve.I will be concentrating on World cup and there will be two bets which I will post later.

Thursdays best bets

Four flat cards on Thursday going to concentrate on Newbury & Yarmouth ,the feature race being the Lord Weinstock 1 mile 2f  listed race at Newbury.Yarmouth stage just average card though there looks couple interesting races.

6F  MAIDEN STAKES CLASS (5) 2.10 YARMOUTH
DIVINE CALL:Well bred Pivotal colt, only 8th on debut at Lingfield in April, though looks sure come on for that run and wouldn't have to improve much to take this very weak maiden.
2PTS WIN 9-4 BET365

6F FILLIES HAND CLASS (5) 2.40 YARMOUTH
REQUISITE:Good second 9 days ago at Yarmouth over C/D only beaten short head behind Piazzo San Pietro ,(winner again since) looks very well handicapped of mark of 61,won of mark 69 last June.2PTS WIN 2-1 BET365

2 MILES HANDICAP CLASS(6) 4.25 YARMOUTH
BROUGHTONS POINT: Consistent type, easy winner over C/D in April only 4lb higher today,4TH on last two starts at Goodwood & Wolverhampton this looks easier  race.
1PT E-WAY 9-2 BLUE SQUARE

1 MILE 2F 3-Y-O LISTED FILLES RACE CLASS (1) 3.05 NEWBURY
LADY DARSHAN:Excellent 2nd in fillies mile group 1 last September only beat 3/4 lengh behind Hibaayeb ,and again very good 6th of 19 in Irish 1000 guineas last time only beaten 2.5 lenghs Takes massive drop in class here from group one company into listed race.
3PTS WIN 11-4 PADDY POWER

Wednesday's best bets

Slightly disappointing day on Tuesday with 1.50pt loss.Lady Royale drifted out to 11-4 on betfair but had no real excuses, was there with every chance but never really picked up.Very disappointing she could only manage 4th in class 5 maiden after running so well in listed race the time before.

Lady of Kent travelled really well in claimer and looked the likely winner 2f out, but could never get clear run until it was too late ,though still ran fair race in 3rd and did touch as big as 14-1 on betfair.

On to Wednesday and five flat meetings ,though looks very difficult day with plenty rain forecast all over the country ,and ground conditions are likely to be lot softer than advertised .Just one bet tomorrow.

CLASS (5) MAIDEN STAKES 7F 100YDS BEVERLEY 4.00

FIFTY MOORE: Promising second last time in hot 7f maiden at Thirsk, behind highly regarded M.Johnstone trained RAINFALL who went on to run second in listed race next time at Haydock ,both the third and fifth from that Thirsk maiden have also boosted the form by winning next time, should go well at decent odds & will handle soft ground if the rain arrives.

1.25 PTS E-WAY AT 9-2 STAN JAMES

Tuesday best bets

Two flat cards on Tuesday both look very competitive with plenty of runners ,there looks few interesting races and we have two bets.

6F CLASS (5),2-Y-O MEDIAN AUCTION MAIDEN STAKES. REDCAR 2.00
LADY ROYALE: Excellent second in the Hilary Needler listed race at Beverley last time only beaten 1.25 lenghs from bad draw (3),was finishing very strongly in closing stages and looked to be crying out for 6 furlongs, takes big drop in class here and should be hard to beat in this class 5 maiden .

3PTS WIN

7F  CLASS (5) ,CLAIMING STAKES.SALISBURY 2.45
LADY OF KENT:EX-Irish trained filly ,won twice on AW this year over 7 furlongs for J.Boyle ,winning claimer last time at Lingfield and Handicap in Feb.Had some fair form on turf in Ireland last season and looks well drawn in stall (13)

1PT E-WAY

summary of the weeks bets!!

Up and down week with small loss of 1.10pt overall,Saturday turned out to be disappointing day with 10pt loss both Jan Vermeer and Midas Touch  well beaten in the Derby behind the impressive winner Workforce.

Must admit didn't think Workforce had much chance before hand, after being well beaten in Dante stakes at York, even allowing for the bit slipping though his mouth seemed to show massive improvement in Derby though that was only his third run and will be interesting how he gets on in the Irish Derby.

THE FIGURES READ AS FOLLOWS:

ON THE WEEK
11 BETS)4 WINNERS)LOSS 1.10PTS)

OVERALL AFTER 18 WEEKS
162 BETS)52 WINNERS)PROFIT 33.20 PTS)
